Henry was a very informative guide and very accommodating. I did this hike with friends and I had a few moments that I struggled with. They were patient and waited for me to catch my breath with the altitude. The guide and porters were great and the view was beautiful. The cabin was comfy and we were prepared for all weather conditions during the meeting before. I would highly recommend this tour!
Henry was our tour guide for the Double Whammy experience and he did a tremendous job keeping everyone safe and informed while providing an incredible experience. Once in a lifetime experience that's I'll never forget!
We had an amazing trip up to Acatenago!! I felt so safe the whole time and the guides did a fabulous job of helping us along and making sure everybody was okay. I had an incredible experience with OX Expedition during our climb up the volcano. Everything was very well organized from the start, and the guides were friendly, professional, and always attentive to the safety and well-being of the entire group. The hike was challenging but totally worth it. The landscapes and views were spectacular, and thanks to the team's support and motivation, I was able to enjoy every moment of the adventure. It's clear they know the route very well and are passionate about what they do.
This company was amazing. Having the company set up the buses and sort out the food for us was amazing and a huge benefit. The guides were amazing in making sure everyone was able make it to base camp by letting us take breaks every 20-30 minutes this was a huge help. Highly recommend booking with OX
Genuinely the best tour company to hike Acatenango through. The local guides and company guides were great with setting a reasonable pace and stopping frequently to let people adjust to the altitude and accommodated for dietary requirements and physical injuries. The company clearly cares about the environment and urges hikers to collect rubbish. Also they show great care and contribution towards the community by educating tourists on issues and providing jobs for the locals as porters. I really had the best time with Axel! I was so kind and caring. Made sure everyone was okey the whole time! Would definitely recommend this trip and book it with OX Expeditions! You sleep in nice cabins, good food and good guides!
It was a superb experience. Honestly, I think OX is the best agency. The guides are perfect and share their stories with us; the food and water are provided by the company, as well as most of the equipment. They also do their best to show us the best of Acatanengo and El Fuego.
It was one of the best experiences of my life! The view of the erupting volcano was simply incredible. The guides were so kind and caring. I loved my experience.
