8 dagars Kilimanjaro-klättring Lemosho Route

We are a family of five from Malaysia (four adults and one 15-year-old teenager), and we successfully reached the summit of Uhuru Peak on July 17, 2025, via the 8-day Lemosho Route. We chose Furaha Adventure through TripAdvisor, and it was a decision we never regretted. For my husband and son, this was their very first mountain climbing experience they had never done anything like it before and thanks to the incredible support from the Furaha team, they made it all the way to the top. We're truly proud of them. I hope this review helps others just as the reviews we read helped us. From the very first email to the moment we returned home to Malaysia, everything went smoothly. Our journey was safe and well-organized, all thanks to the dedicated team at Furaha Travel. Jesca, who coordinated our trip, was quick to respond and tailored the itinerary and accommodations to fit our preferences. Everything was professionally planned and finalized. During the climb itself, the crew demonstrated focus, responsibility, and a deep understanding of their roles. From the guides and porters to the cook, every team member supported and encouraged us throughout, I can still hear “pole pole” echoing in my mind. Despite the physical challenges, the experience was filled with joy singing, laughing, and meaningful conversations made it truly unforgettable. We still share stories and laugh about those moments to this day. I hiked the Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route with Furaha Adventure starting on July 10, 2025, and the journey exceeded all expectations. What made it truly unforgettable was the incredible support and dedication of the team that accompanied us every step of the way. Onesmo brought a calm, spiritual energy that kept us grounded throughout the climb. His patience was remarkable. Gaiwa was our steady anchor quiet but always dependable. His support was instrumental in helping me reach the summit. Simon ensured our belongings were always safe, giving us peace of mind so we could focus on the climb. Vicent was an exceptional guide calm, confident, and always reassuring. I felt completely safe under his guidance. Jackson brought laughter and joy, lifting spirits with music and stepping in with support exactly when I needed it. Honesty’s voice was truly uplifting, especially on summit day his singing gave us strength: “Zaina… Zaina… Zaina…” The meals were far better than I could’ve imagined. Mathew, our talented chef, along with Pascal and Steven, consistently served delicious food in even the harshest conditions. Being greeted with tea and coffee each morning by Pascal and Steven was such a thoughtful and comforting gesture. I’ll never forget the little details, like the red tablecloth laid out with biscuits, tea, and coffee along the trail. It felt like a dream and was a much-needed boost that kept our morale high. Even on summit day, the porters made sure we had water, every detail felt intentionally cared for. A special moment that will stay with me forever was Emmanuel’s simple but powerful encouragement: “You are strong. You can do it.” At that moment, it meant everything. I’m incredibly thankful to the entire Furaha Adventure team for their professionalism, care, and heart. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering this life-changing adventure.

My cousin did extensive research before choosing Furaha Adventure for our 8-day Lemosho Kilimanjaro trek, and I can confidently say the entire experience was flawless, thanks largely to our exceptional team led by Elia. From the start, Eva managed all our bookings with great efficiency, providing a detailed itinerary, equipment checklist, and visa guidance that made preparation easy. Our driver Maleeq, who also dropped me off at the airport, was kind and helpful even stopping to help me buy avocados on the way back. The gear check crew was professional, carefully cataloging and sealing our valuables. What sets Furaha adventure apart is how well they treat their staff every guide and porter we spoke to shared how fairly they’re paid and how the company supports local communities through sustainability initiatives. This happiness among the crew reflected in the service; everyone was warm, dedicated, and attentive. Elia, our head guide, was the heart of the team steady, wise, and completely trusted. Our assistant guides Dennis, Israel, George, John, Solomon, Frank, Marco, and Bariki were each incredible, whether helping with daypacks, taking photos, or ensuring we were safe during challenging sections. Chef Mathew meals were so good I ended up eating more than expected, and servers Erick and Steve were kind and attentive. With 58 crew members supporting us, the service was outstanding I was so moved I tipped 2.5x the standard. I highly recommend opting for tall, walk-in tents, private toilets (we had 3 for 9 people, cleaned twice daily), and individual tents if budget allows for more comfort. Most importantly, choose Kosovo Camp instead of Barafu for summit night the extra cost is minimal but gives a critical 2-hour head start that greatly increases summit success. Our hike was a mix of terrains rainforest, moorlands, the surreal Lava Tower, and the Barranco Wall that reminded me of Game of Thrones. Despite some of us having prior experience like Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro was our toughest challenge, and without Elia’s leadership, we wouldn’t have made it. He even managed an altitude issue at Lava Tower by immediately sending a teammate down to recover who later still summited, thanks to his care. Summit night was grueling we hiked to Kosovo, rested, then began the midnight climb. Reaching Stella Point was emotional, but the final push to Uhuru was even harder and more beautiful. Furaha adventure seamless logistics, deep care for their crew, and Elia’s superhuman leadership made this life-changing adventure not only possible but unforgettable. If you're planning your climb, request Elia as your lead guide, ask for the same team (Dennis, George, John,Frank , Bariki, Erick, and Mathew as chef), bring proper winter gear (or rent from Furaha), and enjoy the journey it will be one of the best experiences of your life.

We did the eight day Lemosho route, the whole team were great from start to finish, with everyone going the extra mile to make us feel welcome and part of the team. We had the pleasure of using Furaha Adventures for our 8 day hike on the Lemosho Route up Kilimanjaro. All of our preconceived concerns were put to bed early doors by Godfrey and his planning of the trek. When then met Guiwa (our guide) who answered all of the questions we had about the ins and outs of the walk. They checked our kit thoroughly to make sure we were prepared as best we could be before starting. Throughout the trek the team were amazing. The everpresent smiles, singing and dancing meant we felt at home with team from minute one. Having a waiter and toilet was a luxury I hadn’t expected for my hike but was very welcomed. The guides were amazing every step of the way looking out for our health, answering our questions, singing us songs, motivational speaches - you name it and the teacher, the soldier or the priest will have it. Under they’re excellent advise and guidance all 6 of us made it to the summit, a moment none of us will ever forget. Thank you Furaha for an unforgettable trip up Kilimanjaro at a great price.

We had an amazing time doing the 8 day Lemosho route up Kilimanjaro. The guides were great, lots of good food and an amazing team. The guides were really inspiring and got us all our team to Uhuru peak! A very reasonable price as well for such an awesome trip. Would highly recommend booking your trip with Furaha Adventures!
