This trip exceeded all my expectations it has been magical. The beauty of Greece the delightful boat which is part of the islands history and culture. The hosts Maria and Apostolis have treated us as guests at a house party they could not have been any more caring. If you want to eat some of the best food in Greece then travel on the Valerie the quality is almost Michelin To have an amazing, relaxing holiday choose this trip..
We had a truly wonderful trip in the boat VALERIE . We visited a new location / island every day , they were all a little different to each other but all very beautiful and enjoyable . The highlight of the trip was the sensational food and the two beautiful people who prepared it - Maria and Apostoli . There were four crew on board and nothing was too much trouble for any of them . I had a little fall and they all cared for me like I was family . The Captains dinner was truly wonderful food , lots of seafood but also lots of FUN with Greece music and dancing . It’s a really magical experience sailing through the stunning waters of the Ionian Sea . I just wanted it to go on forever !!!
Our family of 14 chartered the gulet Aphrodite from Zante. Early October gave us mostly sunny days, but we did hit a couple of strong Meltemi winds that kept us docked for a day. Still, we enjoyed exploring local villages and swimming in quiet coves. The crew adapted the route perfectly. I'd say October is ideal if you want sailing with flexibility and fewer tourists, but not if you expect guaranteed beach weather.
We joined the Zante cruise last October. Weather was not good and influenced very badly our stops, as we missed Lefkada and Meganissi. We got only 2 good days of sunshine. Cpt Nikos and this team were incredible. The food was very tasty and kept us happy. Overall we did enjoy the cruise, but we would not suggest October again.
This was our first sailing holiday, and Greece on October exceeded expectations. We started from canteen and explored the Ionian islands -Mrganisi,Ithaka and Kefalonia. The sea was crystal clear, the wind Just right for sailing and the lack of tourists made it feel very private. Locals were so welcoming. It's amazing how different the islands feel once the summer rush is over .
Exactly what we were hoping for: peace, beauty, and excellent service. The captain knew all the hidden coves, and we felt like we were discovering secret places every day. The crew were kind, attentive, and always ready with a towel, drink, or recommendation. Sleeping under the stars, waking to the gentle sea this is the kind of holiday that restores you. If you want a holiday that's both relaxing and inspiring, this is it.
What a wonderful and memorable week we had on board Aurora! It was everything I had been hoping for. This particular boat is not large, only 6 double standard cabins and, as such, the accommodation is simple but has everything one needs for a week. The trick is to pack very light! To be honest, all you need are your swim things, water shoes or flip flops, beach towels and some basic clothes. There are towels provided and soap, but not shampoo, so it's a good idea to bring a small bottle. On deck, at the front, there are two benches which seat 7-8 people plus sun mattresses, some covered by a canopy if you need to avoid direct sunlight. At the back, there is a long table where everyone sits to have meals, or just a chat. Mr Nick was our captain, ably helped by the brilliant Costas - both of them hugely experienced and absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel safe, welcome and comfortable on board. The other crew member was the amazing Daniela, who conjured up feast after feast for us to eat. We went to many tiny coves for swimming and snorkelling, and each port we stayed at had a very different atmosphere, so I really felt that I had a better feel for the variety of Greek islands. We had a lovely group on the cruise and everyone was very friendly. There are some drinks available in a little bar, or you can pay a corkage fee and bring whatever you want on board - the crew will store milk, water, beer, wine in the fridge if you choose that option. All in all, I thoroughly recommend this holiday if you enjoy being on a boat! If you are looking for a bit more luxury, it's probably worth choosing a different boat that has superior cabins - but to be honest, we were totally content with our cabins and we spent most of our time on deck anyway. Thanks to all the team for a brilliant holiday!
Our sailing holiday was pure magic. Crystal-clear waters, breathtaking sunsets, and the gentle sway of the boat—it was the perfect escape. The crew was friendly and professional, and every day felt like a new adventure.
We have just returned from the most incredible holiday — a trip that will stay in our memories forever. Our group of 11 family and friends spent time together on board, and from start to finish it was absolutely perfect. The boat itself was comfortable and beautifully maintained, but what truly made the holiday so special was the crew. A team of four fantastic men looked after us with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Nothing was ever too much trouble — they anticipated what we needed before we even asked, kept everything running seamlessly, and created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The combination of wonderful company, stunning surroundings, and exceptional service made for an unforgettable experience. We laughed, ate, explored, and enjoyed every single moment. It was the perfect balance of fun, comfort, and relaxation. If you’re considering this kind of holiday, I can’t recommend it highly enough. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and so many special memories.
We had an amazing week on board the Hemera. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The crew were incredibly welcoming, friendly and informative. This, in itself made us feel at home from the start. Every stop along the route was stunning. The crew were extremely relaxed with regards to the duration of our stop and any water activities we may want to do. The food was fresh and delicious every day with a very friendly chef. We always felt safe and well looked after. I’d highly recommend this holiday to anyone wanting a unique, relaxing way to explore the coast.
