7 day Lemosho route up Kilimanjaro & 2 day Safari. Get comfortable as this is a long and detailed review of this exceptional company and their people. First let me start with Geoffrey who is the director of the company. His ability to answer all my questions and queries via what's app made it so easy for me to choose Burigi chato safaris for all of my needs in Tanzania. Given there was an 8hr time difference between us I was even more impressed with his response rate. Everything was organised seamlessly from the moment I arrived. I was met by my driver and taken to my comfortable lodge in Mosh. I was met by my guide Amin for Mt Kilimanjaro climb. He provided me with a brief outline of the next days activities and went through an equipment check to ensure we only took what we needed for the 7 day trek. Next day I was introduced to the rest of the support team. As other hikers scheduled on this trip postponed their climb to another date, I had the support crew all to myself. There were 7 in total, I would like to say at this stage these guys are exceptional at what they do. It never ceases to amaze me how effortlessly they make it look. Carrying over 20kgs each up and down the mountain they always had our camp and tents all set up long before we even arrived. There was always a hot drink and meal ready whenever you arrived. At this point I would like to add that Wilson and his assistant cook winner are culinary geniuses with what they able to whip up. Example of some foods like fish and chips, rice and beef stews, spaghetti Bolognese, pancakes, crepes etc just to mention a few. Felt bad as all the food looked great but I was not able to eat too much of it as lost my appetite due to altitude. This is where Weshack my waiter comes in. He really should consider a job in sales as he was excellent in convincing me to eat as much I could to keep my strength up. He did a bloody good job too. He will make a good future guide. Speaking of guides I was blessed with such a great one in Amin who has over a decade of knowledge helping climbers achieve their goals. Again an individual that is exceptional at what he does. Always felt safe and confident with his guidance. The rest of the team like Mike our summit porter, Isaiah the dishwasher and Fred our porter all of who made the journey that much better. The safari was exceptionally organised with all meals and accommodation taken care of. Tarangire park and Ngorongoro crater where phenomenal. The team at Burigi chato are definitely a company I would recommend for any of your adventures in Tanzania. Whether that be climbing the mountain or doing a multi day safari, these are the folks you need to speak to first. I can not speak of them highly enough. Thank you
I enjoyed having the shopping experiences in Moshi town. The town is really romantic and clean. The local markets and goods are areanged smartly in terms of price and cleanliness. Nice town ever!
Amazing experience even if I got altitude sickness and didn't summit. Arrangements were great, the guide, porters and cooks were always smiling and always did their best. The 2 others I hiked with made it up, although one got sick and ended being brought down on a stretcher by the amazing porters and finished in the hospital for re-hydration. She was ok and proud of her accomplishment afterwards. After the hike, we got to sit down, were dusted-off (oh, it gets dusty!) were given warm water to clean with, fed warm meals (a bit repetitive but tasty and of good quality). Our tents (and toilet, quite recommended to avoid smelly camp toilets) were set and we got to sleep quite well (extra air mattress suggested). I was told the summit night was rough.
Climbing the most beautiful mountain in Africa was my dream, was very happy to summit at the pick of the Mount Kilimanjaro by using Machame route, I didn`t get tired in the way though I experienced some thought moment but everything was nice including my porter
Lemosho tour was the best route that used when I was climbing the mountain, the location was nice and friendly to me, the guides were also knowledgeable and friendly. thank you so much Burigi Chato Safaris for this incredible experience.
Their services and gear was at this best in the mountain. The team was excellent in going up with the tents they walked fast though with a big luggage and made it to the pick then came back. Everything was well organized. Our mountain support team was ready for action and well prepared. If you for the company and guides by name ask for Geoffrey the managing director. We very much are happy about his leadership in organizing such ventures. He is friendly, professional and deeply satisfies his guest even when the challenges prevail he goes an extra mile to solve it.
If you like safaris and trekking Tours, Moshi is the place for you. Kilometers and kilometers of untouched land, where the big animals roam free. Moreover, you can hike the highest free-standing Mountain, the Kilimanjaro from Moshi, so it is a very safe destination for your safari.
As we landed we were met with a team was. Integral, attentive, professional and consistence to strive to the goal. This company is amazing. We were proud of our crew. The chefs, guides and porters all of them made us feel comfortable and dedicated whilst in the bush. The day that we walked from the gate everything was well taken care of in a professional capacity. We were never tired with only one type of meal. It was fascinating to see fresh food even on the seventh day on the Mountain. I wondered how they managed the supply in the mountains in the mid of no-where. Our tents were always
Moshi is a good city, after Kilimanjaro hiking we decided to visit moshi City, it like 3 Hours as we combined city tour and shopping, shopping in Moshi is somehow cheap compared to Arusha.
