7-dagars Hemmingways Safari

We had booked the 7 days safari tour and this has far exceeded expectations! We’re travelling as a couple and first time in Kenya so we wanted to book a roadtrip with Native Afrika to see the country and the way of life. Lucas was our fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable about all the animals in the safari, their behaviours and where they were. We got to see all the Big Five and learned about the Ugly Five!! Lucas is also an excellent driver and conversationalist we had good chats about Kenya culture and everything else in general. The drive from Amboseli through to Lake Nakuru and over the hills to Maasai Mara was really scenic. The lodges we stayed in was very clean, our favourite was Ziwa Bush Lodge where we could really immerse in nature. Last stop Enkorok Camp had excellent views of the plains and amazing food. To top it up Lucas prepared us a surprise little drink at the end of our game drive. Over a few glasses of wine we watched life goes by on the Maasai Mara after catching a glimpse of the start of the Great Migration. We would highly recommend Lucas and Native Afrika if you are looking for a well-rounded, relaxed, beautiful and informative outdoors trip in Kenya. I would come back!

Exceptional trip. The best way to see the country and the different reserves. Our guide Lucas was great at helping us to find all the animals we wanted to see, going above and beyond to ensure that we got good views of creatures, as well as spotting them for us when our eyes failed us! We saw a cheetah, got within feet of two lions, saw 4 rhinos up close, and got great photos of all the big herbivores. His driving and hosting abilities made the trip. The food on the trip was also excellent I have to add.

It was tremendous to witness the wildlife running free while we were trapped in the vehicle. Our guide, Mike, was personable, knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and an incredible driver. Working as a team with the other guides, we were able to see lions, lionesses, cubs, leopards, hyenas, crocodiles, even a cheetah with a kill. Mike was a lead guide, helping save a tortoise life and aiding two stuck vehicles. This was truly a trip of a lifetime!

We had a fantastic experience with Native Afrika Voyages. We went as a couple for our honey moon and couldn’t be more happy with our experience. Mary was exceptionally helpful and responsive setting up the safari. Our driver Alex made the trip amazing for us, he always went above and beyond to help us find the big 5 and also we managed to see the first day of the great migration. Alex would always know exactly the best spots to go and wait to see the animals and his knowledge was incredible. Every hotel we stayed at knew it was our honeymoon and went above and beyond to surprise us. The tour ran perfectly and we even got upgraded in one of our hotels at one stage. We had an unforgettable Kenya safari with Native Afrika Voyages! We were a group of 18 people—5 families with children—and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was perfectly organized and professionally managed. The entire team made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout the journey. The biggest surprise came on our last day when they arranged a beautiful farewell cake for our group. It was completely unexpected and such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more memorable. A special thanks to our amazing safari guides—Cris, Cyrus (popularly known as Bahubali), and Leonard. All three were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about wildlife. A special mention goes to Cris, who was simply outstanding. Our children absolutely loved him and were so comfortable that they spent the entire safari with him in one Land Cruiser. His patience, warmth, and ability to engage with the kids made the experience even more enjoyable for all of us. We would also like to thank Serah, who was our main point of contact throughout the trip. She regularly checked on us, ensured everything was running smoothly, and made sure our group remained comfortable at every stage of the tour. Her attention to detail and prompt support were truly appreciated. A safari is not just about seeing wildlife—it's about the people who make the experience special. Native Afrika Voyages exceeded our expectations in every way. We returned home with incredible memories, wonderful photographs, and new friendships. This is a repeat trip with this company as always from start to finish the customer service was absolutely second to none. We were kept very well informed and every thing has run very smoothly. We chose to have the same guide again Cyrus went above and beyond again to ensure we had the best experience. Our Land Cruiser was really comfortable with plug sockets and WiFi an added feature. This safari exceeded all my expectations. We got close to various wild animals in their natural home. The guide was very experienced and helpful. Every moment here is precious.
