Our safari experience was absolutely unforgettable from start to finish. We visited Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, and every single day exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the trip was definitely our guide, Samuel. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and always made sure we had the best possible experience. Thanks to him, we were able to spot so many amazing animals, learn about their behaviour, and understand much more about Tanzania’s wildlife and culture. His ability to find wildlife was truly impressive, and he always shared fascinating facts that made every game drive even more special. The entire safari was perfectly organised, the landscapes were breathtaking, and seeing the Big Five in their natural habitat was a dream come true. A huge thank you to Samuel for making this adventure so memorable. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, I couldn’t recommend this experience more. It truly was the trip of a lifetime!

We did the 6-day group camping safari through the four iconic national parks: Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara, and it was truly an unforgettable experience, coordinated by Jerome. Our guide, Samuel, was outstanding… professional, knowledgeable, incredibly efficient, and by the end of the trip, he had become our Tanzanian best friend! He made every game drive enjoyable and always went the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible experience. The safari vehicle was spacious and comfortable, the campsites were fantastic and set in incredible locations right in the heart of the parks, and Meru Slopes took care of absolutely everything. From airport pick-up and accommodation before and after the safari to providing a local SIM card, every little detail was perfectly organized. Communication was excellent from start to finish, the price was very competitive, and the level of service exceeded all our expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again with Meru Slopes, in fact, I’d choose them a hundred times over. Thank you so much for making this trip so special! Highly recommended.

The best safari I could have hoped for. Saw all animals including Big 5. Samuel was my guide and was 10/10 with knowledge and making the experience special. Everything was meticulously planned, camping was seemless. Our chef salim made 3 delicious meals everyday and we were always so well fed and hydrated. Beers and soft drinks were always topped up in the fridge. Both Sam and Salim made sure we were comfortable and happy every minute.

The most amazing experience with the best staff. From booking with Kelvin to our amazing guide Innocent and cook Dulla we had the best time and were very well looked after. We saw all of the big 5 and we couldn’t thank Innocent more. Dulla made the best food, even our fussy members had clean plates. Only thing I would say is watch your stuff at the campsites as we had some money taken. Overall, we had the best time thank you Meru!

My wife and I booked with Meru Slopes for the 6 day safari. Gift Tembo coordinated our booking, he was prompt with text messages and available for phone calls at all times. He also coordinated free accommodation and food for us the night before and after our safari which was incredibly helpful, as well as transportation to and from the airport. Our guide Godfrey was great, he got us all big 5 as well as ugly 5, plus many more animals. Very knowledgeable guide as well. Our chef Salim always prepared good meals on time and provided us plenty of food with every meal. We would happily work with this company again. Well worth the price

He was patient, professional, and truly passionate about wildlife. He took his job very seriously and put in so much effort to find animals for us. Thanks to Rashid, we saw everything we hoped to see and created memories that will last a lifetime. It was clear that he genuinely cared about giving his guests an unforgettable safari experience.

My friend and I had an incredible experience with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. A huge thank you to Leonard Mkwavi, our manager, who was always very responsive and organized everything perfectly. ​Our driver-guide, Samwel Musangi, was absolutely brilliant. He was always there doing his absolute best for everyone, showing incredible kindness and a wonderful, positive attitude every single day. During the trip, some tensions arose with two other clients in our group (composed of my friend and I, and another couple). However, this was absolutely not the company's fault, and the team managed the situation as best as they could. ​Our chef, Dwula, treated us to absolutely delicious meals throughout the entire journey! ​We also want to mention Manuel, who drove us multiple times for shorter trips and took us on great excursions to Chemka Hot Springs and the Materuni Waterfalls. He was incredibly kind. ​Thank you all for these unforgettable memories. 5 stars well deserved, we highly recommend them!

Our safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris in Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was an excellent experience overall and we would surely come back. The driver Max and the Chef Dulha made the memories unforgettable! The tour was arranged by Leonard, who was very helpful and responsive throughout the planning. Communication was generally very good, although there was an error in the itinerary: we were booked for two nights in the public Seronera campsite in the Serengeti instead of one night in the camp and one night in a lodge as planned, which was $340 cheaper than what we had paid. Max at the phone helped us to sort it out. It’s also worth noting that Lake Manyara, which was part of the original plan, was closed due to flooding. In addition, this park may not be the best destination in this season, and it could have been suggested to spend an extra day in the Serengeti instead without basically losing one full day. Regarding accommodation, the stay in the Serengeti public Seronera campsite was, in this season, at the limit in terms of hygiene. This could have been explained more clearly before booking to allow a fully informed decision. All other accommodations during the trip were very good. The safari itself was very well organized, and each park offered something unique — from the elephant herds and baobabs of Tarangire, to the vast wildlife of the Serengeti, and finally the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. It was really once in a lifetime experience!!! A big thank you to our guide Max, a very kind and professional person, always helpful and amazing at spotting animals. He made every game drive special. Thanks to his dedication, we even woke up very early to reach the Ngorongoro Crater at sunrise — we were among the first to enter, which allowed us to enjoy a spectacular sunrise and spot even more animals. Also, compliments to chef Dulha, whose food was consistently delicious and far beyond expectations for a safari. Overall, a fantastic experience with a great team that we would definitely recommend.

This safari was the most amazing and unforgettable experience! We went during the off season/rainy season (March) and were not sure what to expect as most people online recommend going during later months and as this was our very first safari and first time in Africa as female travelers. This safari went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. The guide, Samuel, has been a guide for 16 years and knows these parks like the back of his hand. We saw every animal imaginable including lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, millions of elephants zebras giraffes etc. He made us feel so welcome and truly loved wildlife and nature. We felt extremely safe at all times as we trusted Samuel’s expertise with the terrain and wildlife. His number one priority was making sure our safari experience was the best it could be. The chef, Yohanni, was also so amazing! The foods he cooked ranged from traditional Tanzanian food to pizza fries pancakes etc. He even taught us how to cook ugali. He was so kind and funny, and is now a friend for life! Overall this safari experience was a 100000000/10 and I couldn’t recommend it more enough to future safari goers. The people, the company, the nature, the wildlife made this the best trip I have ever had!

Samwel and Bange really made the experience. I was lucky to have been placed with them. Samwel took the time to explain stuff that we were looking at. If it was a bird, a tree, or a little stream, he was knowledgeable and very informative. We got new passengers from another safari company and the new passengers were amazed about how Samwel would stop and actually teach us things. Not something everyone does! Bange was the chef with us, he was very very kind, and always on time. He was very easy to engage conversation with and he always had a smile on his face. His food always came out top notch. Same with the new passengers, they mentioned that Bange’s food was much much better than what they had from their company previously. I dealt a lot with Kelvin. Whether it was the hotel pickup, drop off, food, recommendations or anything really he was always super fast to respond, no matter what time of night or day. He made the administration part of this easy. The hotel was decent, nothing at all to complain about. WiFi has been a little tough but survivable. Seems like a good location close to things and polite staff.
