5-dagars Kilimanjaro-klättring via Marangu Route

Marangu-rutten, även känd som "Coca-Cola"-rutten, är den äldsta, mest väletablerade rutten på Kilimanjaro. Detta är den enda vägen som erbjuder sovhyddor i sovsalar i stället för camping. Det finns 60 våningssängar vardera på Mandara och Kibo Huts, och 120 våningssängar på Horombo Hut. Gästerna förses med madrasser och kuddar, men sovsäckar krävs fortfarande. Hydorna har gemensamma matsalar och enkla toaletter, allt från spoltoaletter och rinnande vatten vid de nedre stugorna till långa toaletter och hinkar med vatten vid Kibo Hut. Många föredrar Marangu eftersom det anses vara den enklaste vägen på berget, med tanke på dess gradvisa lutning och direkta väg. Ruttens korta tidsram gör dock höjdacklimatisering ganska svår. Rutten närmar sig berget Kilimanjaro från sydost. Marangu är tyvärr mindre naturskönt än de andra vägarna eftersom upp- och nedstigningen går längs samma väg.

Kilimanjaro changed me forever. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was not just a journey to the top of Africa, it was a journey within myself. Every step was a test of patience, strength, and belief.
