Detta fantastiska äventyr tar oss till Bwindi "The Impenetrable Forest" i Ugandas bergiga långt sydvästliga spets där du kommer att ha möjlighet att spåra Mountain Gorillas. Turnén ger dig en möjlighet att komma ur bubblan med fordon och gå med lokal guide när du utforskar landskapet genom vår fairtrade-verksamhet som stöder ungdomarna i detta sydvästra Ugandas samhälle. Du kommer att kunna interagera med folket och sova i en eko-lodge med fantastisk utsikt över Bwindi-skogen, Virunga-vulkanerna och Albertine-slingdalen, det fantastiska landskapet som stannar kvar i ditt minne för alltid.

AeroLink Flyg till Kisoro, vandra och paddla kanot över Lake Mutanda Du "bosätter dig" sedan i en utgravd kanot för 2-3 timmars lugn avslappnad cruising över sjön och njuter av det vackra landskapet. Efter lunch på en restaurang vid sjöns stränder, fortsättning till fots till Rubuguri (9km – 2/3 timmar) där du möter upp fordonet och kör ytterligare 10 km upp till Lodgen i Nkuringo (ca 1 timme). Naturligtvis kan du också bli upphämtad av fordonet vid sjön och köra hela vägen upp till Lodgen.
Efter frukost, runt 07:45, med matsäck och dricksvatten kommer du att överföras till National Park Head Quarters för en genomgång om vad som ska göras och inte göras medan du är med gorillorna. Du fortsätter sedan till skogen för starten av själva gorillaspårningen.
I morgon efter en rejäl frukost kan du njuta av fågelskådning i Nombe Pocket Forest - det var en del av Bwindi Impenetrable National Park och det är fortfarande ganska ogenomträngligt, men det var avskuren från det eftersom människor behövde mer land att leva på och odla. Det kan nås till fots (cirka en timme att gå och 2 timmar att komma tillbaka) eller med fordon och besöket varar cirka 2 timmar, beroende på gästernas intresse. Lunch vid lodgen och vid 14:00 avresa till Buniga Forest Trail Walk, ett informativt projekt som drivs av USAID och det lokala Batwa-samhället. Batwa-stammen tvingades lämna sitt hem i Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park 1991 när den förklarades till UNESCOs kulturarv endast för gorillaer. De hade bott i skogen som nomadiska jägare-samlare i årtusenden, i perfekt balans med flora och fauna runt. Att flytta ut och plötsligt bo i samhällen med ett helt annat sätt att leva har visat sig vara en enorm utmaning. De överlever nu så bra de kan och förtjänar en försörjning för att förklara sitt tidigare liv i skogen och deras rika arv. Fortsättning av promenad genom samhället för att besöka den traditionella växtläkaren och svartsmeden.
Tidig frukost och transfer till Kisoro Airstrip för din morgon AeroLink flyg till Entebbe. Slutet av tjänsterna. Beroende på din avgångsflyg antingen njuta av dagrum / övernattning på Papyrus Guest House eller vänta på din avgångsflyg på flygplatsen.

Everything about this 5 day experience was top notch. Remmy was an incredible guide - great energy, good vibes, helpful, knowledgeable, & always kept us feeling safe. Lodges were beautiful with great service & of course the animals/wild life did not disappoint. Added some optional hikes/walks to keep us active. Incredible trip - definitely recommend Remmy & Nkuringo!!

The trip was unbelievable. The itinerary was thoughtfully packed with amazing activities and beautiful scenic drives that made travel time enjoyable. The gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences were truly once-in-a-lifetime moments that we will never forget. Our guide Remmy was the best tour guide we could have asked for during our trip to Uganda. He was always prompt, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He truly made the entire experience special. We felt comfortable with him right away, and by the end of the trip, it honestly felt like we were traveling with family. We can’t recommend Remmy highly enough!

We spent a week being guided by Remmy across both Uganda and Rwanda to do a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda and a ‘normal’ gorilla experience in Rwanda (both of which are very worth it). We’re fortunate enough to travel a lot - Remmy was genuinely one of the best guides we’ve ever encoutered: knowledgeable, caring, fun, calm. I’d hightly recommend you stay at Nkuringo Lodge in Bwindi, and ask for Remmy to guide you around - we had a fantastic time!

We had the most incredible 5-day trip with Nkuringo Safaris to Bwindi National Park to see the gorillas: truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Everything was flawlessly organized from start to finish. We felt fully supported and well taken care of at all times. Our driver Patrick was the best: safe, knowledgeable, and always friendly. Highly recommended! I found Nkuringo safaris after doing a ton of research online, and the gorilla trekking was something my mom and I had been elated to add as the end of our trip after a week long safari in Tanzania (with a different provider). From first contact to last dropoff, the one word I would use to describe our time with Nkkuringo Safaris in Uganda was *SEAMLESS*. As someone who works a lot around project management, I can appreciate the systems and behind the scenes that must happen here to coordinate all the details while still making the experience personable and memorable. Incredible experience. Attentive to every detail, top level personalized to ensure you’re comfortable, safe, that any unforeseen events are resolved (like luggage arriving late, losing money, needing extra help during tracking ). Took care of everything since I arrived at the airport till I checked in at the end. Hotels were extra comfortable and instagrammable! Emma, my guide, made sure I had enough water, food, the right attire… more than I did! He even gave me a history lesson when I asked, and we talked music and discussed human nature. We laughed maybe too much. Excellent road trip partner. 100% recommended

This trip was AMAZING!! Moreen helped create a perfect itinerary, she was quick to respond and communicated everything clearly, and helped us when our flight was delayed so that we wouldn’t miss a minute of our trip. We also had the pleasure of working with Milton who was fantastic! He made us feel safe and informed throughout our whole trip, we all wished he could have been traveling with us throughout our entire trip!
