My wife & I normally self-drive in Kenya, but owing to the distance & new confusing road configurations around Nairobi, decided on this occasion to take a safari package with a professional driver/guide. Arrangements were handled by Jacinda via email, & our driver, Nathan, promptly collected us from our Nairobi hotel on commencement of our safari. His driving was first class & we felt safe at all times during the journey. Our first two nights were spent at the Saltlick Lodge, Taita Hills, which was wonderful & I highly recommend it. Game-drives were relaxed & productive, Nathan was patient & had a keen eye for spotting game that my wife & I both missed. Our next two nights were spent at the Serena Lodge in Amboseli, which was excellent but held no surprises as we'd stayed there before. We saw everything we wanted to see during our safari, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable & worthwhile experience - good value & no quibbles! Unable to post more photo's at this time because the majority were taken on my camera, the photo's I've posted were taken at Saltlick Lodge, and the cheetah in Amboseli.
Thanks for amazing trip. Everything was top-notch, from lodges to staff. We highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Kenya.
We did a 12 day Safari to Masai Mari, Amboseli, Tsavo West & Salt Lick and had an amazing time. Jane at Shoor Safaris advised and booked everything for us. John Myuni was our driver, who we had used before, and was brilliant. This was our 2nd “Tailor made” holiday with Shoor safaris and we have nothing but praise for them.
