Om du bara har en kort tid på dig men vill se så mycket av de franska kvarteren som möjligt är det här din tur! Vi kommer att gå i snabb takt, men du kommer att kunna få alla dessa bilder! Vi kommer att se alla berömda platser i de franska kvarteren på 45 minuter. Det finns inte så mycket berättande eller historia som du får på en typisk tvåtimmars rundtur, men din guide kommer att följa upp med en sammanfattning av turnén och en lista över rekommenderade sätt att njuta av New Orleans ännu mer.

Börja din virvelvindstur i hjärtat av staden, Jackson Square. Härifrån kan du se St. Louis Cathedral, två Louisiana State Museums, de ikoniska Pontalba Apartments och statyn av Andrew Jackson (naturligtvis). Din guide kommer att ge dig en kort historia om New Orleans, sedan är det igång!
Fortsätt uppför Chartres Street för några exempel på ikonisk New Orleans-arkitektur och fantastiska butiker och restauranger, inklusive ett hem som förbereddes som en tillflyktsort för Napoleon (spoiler: han ställde upp oss), ett museum som tillägnade de främmande aspekterna av 1800-talets farmaceutiska yrke( iglar!) och Louisiana State Supreme Courthouse.
Zooma ner Bourbon Street för en smak (inte bokstavligen - det skulle vara grovt) av centrum för nattliga fester i New Orleans, inklusive de mest ökända musikhallarna och dryckesställena. Oroa dig inte, det brukar inte vara så chockerande under dagen.
Royal Street har de vackraste exemplen på radhus i French Quarter med balkonger i järnspets, gatuartister och konstgallerier. Detta är gatan för dina New Orleans-drömmar!

Här är den äldsta byggnaden i regionen, som ursprungligen byggdes för Ursulinesnunnorna som kom till New Orleans 1727 för att ge staden lite respekt - lycka till, stackars nunnor!
Få några idéer för framtida snacks och shopping på den franska marknaden, utomhusmarknaden nära floden där New Orleans har handlat och ätit i århundraden. Ta reda på alligatorhuvudena, voodoodockor, praliner, crepes, snapsglas och ostron du har letat efter! Men du får komma tillbaka senare - vi har mer att se!
Upplev lite av det franska kvarterets "gris" på Decatur Street, där det finns intressanta butiker, skaldjursrestauranger, kaféer, godisbutiker, musik överallt och en gyllene staty av Jeanne d'Arc! Följ med pärlsockret till det världsberömda Cafe Du Monde, det allra bästa stället att smutta på cafe au lait medan du äter beignets och tittar på folk och lyssnar på livejazz. Om din mormor kom hit gjorde hon det - du måste göra det också! Hungrig ännu? Vi är nästan klara!
Den här parken heter nu Oscar Dunn Park (men Google har inte fått memo) och det är det perfekta stället att avsluta din supersnabba rundtur i French Quarter, med utsikt över Jackson Square och Mississippi River. Du har förtjänat dessa beignets och du är SÅ mycket smartare och piggare än du var för en timme sedan!

Highly recommend this tour for a quick and informative introduction to the French Quarter. Libby was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and engaging. We had a wonderful time and came away much more informed and fascinated with New Orleans history and culture.

Just go book the tour already - you will not be disappointed! Libby was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge of New Orleans and its colorful and interesting history. She tailored our tour to the interests of our group and made sure to answer every question we had. We had a group of high school aged girls and she delivered the information in a way that hooked them from the beginning. I hope we can come back and do another one soon!!

Libby was amazing and worked with our schedule when our flight was cancelled after a seven hour delay. She was understanding and accommodating and we couldn't be more grateful!
