Our guide was friendly and very hospitable. However, the experience was challenging. Our guide let us know she would be arriving late, and after she arrived late and picked us up, she needed to pick up supplies from a local shop. During the tour, she spoke very quickly and about a host of personal topics, rather than information about the area, and some of the topics discussed made us a bit uncomfortable with young children. We felt the need to redirect her a number of times. When we stopped at locations, we felt the need to keep letting her know we were ready to move to the next one. While one of the locations was great for spotting bald eagles, a number of the others felt like easy pull-offs from the main road rather than a local tour. Again, we appreciated her hospitality but all felt like, for the price we paid for the tour, it was disorganized.
Wow! This was a perfect excursion for our group of 11. We had the best guide (shoutout Jen!) who took care of everything and took us to some great spots. She was knowledgeable and personable. We got to see a lot in a short time but it never felt rushed. Great value as well, especially for the size of our group. Highly recommend!
Jennifer gave us a private tour of Ketchikan and she was fantastic. We were on a cruise and it was nice to do our own tour one day. She took us to some beautiful sites where we saw a bunch of bald eagles. We were hoping to spot some bears but the salmon weren't running yet since it was a little early in the season. Jennifer also took us to a place where we could buy authentic souvenirs that were actually made in Alaska.
Shad was our guide; excellent! Very informative and interactive with us. Shad, Tonya to several spots and the price with Viator was 1/2 of the ships prices
In Ketchikan we had a 3 hour tour for twelve people with guide Tucker. Our ages ranged from 3.5 years old to 76 years old and everyone enjoyed the tour. Tucker did an amazing job of showing us the city, the salmon running in the creek, sharing lots of information about the area, took us on a hike, and we even saw a bear at Herring Cove. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Tucker!
We had an amazing time with Tucker! He showed us all around and did his best to get us as close to the animals as he could!
Such a great tour! Our guide, Daniel, was fabulous! He showed us all the best of Ketchikan. We saw eagles, a bear, a museum and totems, Creek street, and so much more. He was full of information and made sure we saw all we wanted to!
PJ was the best tour guide. He’s a local from the area and is so kind; he was great with my child who has disabilities. Just a great personality, knows so much about the area and shows you so many great spots. Recommend this tour and PJ, wish I could give 100 stars!
Tour guide was very good He brought along beverages and snacked for everyone-all allergen free He was flexible but made sure we saw everything he wanted us to see
This was one of my favorite excursions. Not only was Steph a great guide, she is a fascinating person and an Alaskan native. We learned a lot and avoided the crowds. The company was very responsive to every issue and I would not hesitate to book with them again.
