Tommy and Bailey were great. Their knowledge of the area and the wildlife were so helpful and they were so much fun. The tour was perfectly paced and the small group size made it personable and comfortable. We cannot wait to do another tour with GoLocal the next time we are in Crystal River.
The tour was amazing and having locals guide us was the best part. Tommy and Bailey knew the area well as well as the history of the area. Having a small group of 6 gave it a very personal experience and made it very comfortable. We will definitely take the tour again the next time we are in Crystal River.
Absolutely perfect day with Stephanie and captain Tommy! We saw several manatee and even a few gators in a different area we asked to go to . Three sisters spring was cherry on top!! You cannot do better than this LOCAL tour group , was thinking of kayaks SO glad we choose to get in water instead
Real tour of manatees with great local folks who care about their local environment and its natural treasures, the manatees. You want GO LOCAL. Not some company that is just a business. 6 per boat = personal touch. Derrick and Peter were great! Highly recommended.
Even during off-season they turned it into a fantastic experience.
We had a lovely small group tour with Capt Tommy and guide Bailey. The whole trip felt very personal from meet up to the drop off. Both Tommy and Bailey were very pleasant throughout, friendly and informative in a natural way. They only run small groups and we were lucky to have the tour to ourselves which provided a more premium experience compared to other tours we spotted. Both Bailey and Tommy grew up in the area and so knew a lot about the wildlife and general scenic spots we visited. Manitees have a much smaller population in the summer months (<20 vs 100s within Crystal River) and in my last visit I never managed to spot any. Tommy seen this as a challenge and promised to get me swimming with them this time around even if it meant staying out on the water beyond our 3 hour slot. True to his word we finally found a group of 3 and have a great swim with them for around 40 mins. I would fully recommend Go Local Manatee Tours
Hi I was with Ryan c-I was the one who got farted on by the manatee. Outside of that I had such an amazing time. Pete, Derek were excellent tour guides and made sure everyone got the chance to see a manatee, they were highly respectful towards the wildlife and made sure the manatee were comfortable and safe. I’d HIGHLY reccomend using this company for your manatee tour needs !
I highly recommend Go Local Manatee tours with Pete and Derek. Our trip was awesome! We were able to swim with multiple manatees. Our guides took us to various locations and they were fun, respectful, considerate of the wildlife and provided an overall amazing value with the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Pics included with price were above and underwater. Book now! How close did the manatees get?A manatee swam under me and touched me. I had to freeze and not move and was perfectly safe as the guide reassured me through my slight panic. One even farted on my girlfriend. 😂 11/10 would recommend.
We had an amazing 3-hour manatee tour with Tommy and Bailey! They were absolutely phenomenal—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience unforgettable. They shared so much about the manatees, the local wildlife, and the history of the area, which made the tour both educational and fun. We also loved that they’re a local business. You can really tell they care about the community and providing a genuine experience, unlike many of the larger tour companies. They took their time, answered all of our questions, and made sure everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. It was an incredible experience from start to finish, and we can’t wait to come back!
My husband, son and I went on the early morning tour with Tommy and Bailey. They were borne welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the animals within it. They gave us many manatee facts while we were looking for a place to drop in, and gave us clear directions on how to interact with the manatees while safely and ethically providing space for them in their environment. We really enjoyed both of our guides and the assistance provided, and we got to see a mama and baby manatee! I would 100% go back to Go Local again. It was very much small tour vibes and less stressful for the animals. We appreciate the respect and observation guidelines they gave us and had such a quiet and peaceful experience. Tommy also was helpful with a great breakfast recommendation (The Biscuit Barn! 10/10!). Thank you boys for such a wonderful time!
