We had a wonderful stay at Leopard Nest. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience truly memorable. The concept of the property is unique – I have never seen tree houses like this in the Yala area before. The whole place follows a beautiful sustainable concept that blends perfectly with nature. It’s not just a typical resort; it’s a true glamping experience, and honestly the experience goes beyond the usual resort stay. We really enjoyed some quality time with our family surrounded by nature. A special thank you to Dinidu and Dilaxshan for taking such great care of us during our stay. Cheers and all the best to the team!
PROS: Staff was awesome and super friendly and made the place much more comfortable. SUPER POLITE!! Some of the best people in sri lanka work there. The cat that was walking around outside was really cool and i enjoyed being around that cute little cat. The food was great and the meal setups were unforgettable. Special. The outdoor pool was cool , but im lucky me and my friend were the only ones there otherwise there no room. Its very small. CONS: COST TO STAY HERE IS REDICULOUS!! Shower is terrible, No real food items on the menu, thats just a show. This place should be $100 a night at most. I wouldnt spend the money to stay here unless you have money to flush down the toilet. We had some guide on the safari who kept talking and asked me to sit in the back, and we didnt even see a leopard, even though he tried. Halfway through i told him to sit in the back. He thought pointing out lizards and peacocks was something id never seen before. He was nice, but he was just for a good tip which i didnt hand over. Dont spend all that money here. $100 its a YES, over $150 Its a NO!! I think we spent $648 for two nights without the safari. It was a real rip off. My friend is sri lankan and she got charged by this place foreign price to pay for the safari. There is no gourmet breakfast by the way, they give a egg sandwich that was something ud get at a convinence store.
This one is a tricky one... Nice rooms but you may have to fight local wildlife (frogs and daddy long legs). Food in the evening is really good and in a great setting. However, staff are usually nowhere to be found... The Wifi bar doesn't have Wifi (and data reception either), and neither does it have staff. Sometimes you manage to see staff and you can order something (not a lot available though). One day, it looked like the staff has completely gone and didn't remember we actually were staying, so we had to send a Whatsapp message to enquire about dinner. They quickly organised it though, and it was as great as usual. Getting there is also tricky, and requires a 20 minutes Jeep journey each way, so you kinda feel very isolated, which has its pros and cons.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The road/track to the facility is an adventure (wear the seat belt or hold on tight as you will be thrown around) in its self, similar to some of the tracks around yala national park. Food was very generous portions not a lot of selection but what you got was nice. Judy the giant squirrel made an appearance each meal time in the dining area. Very tame allows you to stroke and feed her bananas. Treetop itself was very hot during the day even with the A/C on but did cool to reasonable temperature once the sun went in. Not to the standard of UK clamping but we are not in the UK. Overall really enjoyed our stay despite not seeing a leopard we had a wonderful experience and saw so many creatures in their natural environment.
An amazing experience. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and professional. The hotel stay included two half day safaris in the price which was such an amazing experience. The dining was almost fine dining every evening and the effort that they put into candlelight campfire BBQs for the guests was breathtaking. A well designed resort allowing for privacy for all tree houses and tents. I do have one gripe it was incredible expensive we paid almost £900 for two nights. I don’t feel that it was value for this amount of money as this resort isn’t exactly luxury flaming these days. It’s clear that when this resort was opened it was exclusive but they have definitely let it go in recent years. The resort was in need of smartening up, the wood was all in need of re staining, the tree houses needed a month of fixing up including bathroom fixtures and fittings, the thatched roofs were filthy in the communal area. NB Amazing team of staff and the food made up for the fact that it was expensive. There were even three dogs that lived onsite that have to be the most polite and quiet dogs that we saw in all of Srilanka, they were very well trained and rather sweet.
One of the highlights of our holiday. If you want something completely different and get back to nature, this is the place for you. Some of the rooms are built in treetops with incredible views across the jungle. Our experience waking up at dawn and listening to the incredible sounds of the jungle coming to life was magical. We even heard an elephant trumpeting. We had two unforgettable meals - one dinner and one breakfast. The dinner was a barbeque in a clearing lit by flaming lanterns. Our table was a huge slab of stone and we felt like a king and queen. The barbeque was wonderfully well cooked and arguable the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. The breakfast took place on top of a rock in a clearing in the jungle while out on a nature ramble. Again, a unique experience which we will never forget. The staff couldn't have done more for us and made us feel very special. We will certainly return.
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible experience! We're thrilled to hear that your stay with us was a highlight of your holiday. It's wonderful to know that you enjoyed the unique treetop rooms and the breathtaking jungle views. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and hearing an elephant trumpeting must have been truly magical. We're delighted that you found the meals unforgettable, especially the BBQ dinner and the breakfast on the rock. It's heartwarming to hear that you felt like royalty during your stay. Our staff will be overjoyed to know that they made your experience special. We're looking forward to welcoming you back for another memorable adventure in the jungle!
This was a challenging visit from the start and turned out to be quite an adventure which we were not expecting. There had been continued heavy rain for a few days which made the road to the hotel impassable even with 4x4 vehicles so we had to walk in mud and a rutted road for a short distance. Our luggage was carried across for us by a hard working team. We were well welcomed by staff but again it was a challenge to get to our treetop suite because there were only muddy paths with a few paving slabs here and there. To go out again we had to reverse our travel in! We had lunch on arrival with no choice. All the food was set menu and be aware that they may not be able to cater for special diets. We went back out straight after lunch for the Yala Safari. Unfortunately due to heavy rain the main part had been closed and we had over an hour journey to get to the part of the park which was open. Our driver /guide tried to find as many animals as possible in this smaller area but we missed the bears, leopards and only saw elephants on the approach road. It took a long time to arrive back and we had to negotiate the walk between vehicles in the dark. We had to go straight to dinner. A BBQ which was OK. Although wine and beer was included it was not topped up. Rooms were spacious with an open wardrobe. Air con but just a sheet on the bed and poor pillows. There was a shower unit in the bathroom which was tricky to use. Our sleep was interrupted by outside noises so maybe pack some ear mufflers. Unfortunately our morning excursion to have breakfast by the lake was cancelled due to flooding but initially we were not told this. There was certainly an element of poor communication but all the staff worked hard to make our stay as memorable and comfortable as they could.
We sincerely value your feedback, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation for choosing Beyond Escapes for your tour. Regrettably, during your visit, Yala encountered unprecedented flooding, posing challenges for our dedicated staff in ensuring your comfort and satisfaction. The campsite, nestled in the jungle, faced road damage due to the exceptionally heavy rainfall, marking the highest ever recorded in the Yala region. Despite these unforeseen circumstances, we genuinely thank you for persevering through the tour until its completion. Your resilience and understanding are truly commendable. Visiting Sri Lanka with Beyond Escapes during such a unique period reflects your adventurous spirit, and we are grateful for your trust in our services. We assure you that we are diligently addressing the aftermath of the weather-related challenges to enhance future guest experiences. Your satisfaction remains our priority, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. It has been our pleasure to host you, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you again. Should your future travels bring you back to Sri Lanka, Beyond Escapes stands ready to provide you with another exceptional and memorable experience. Thank you for being a valued guest, and we look forward to the possibility of hosting you in the future. Safe travels!

After reading all the hyped reviews decided to book and stay at Leopard’s Nest with their all inclusive glamping package. We were thoroughly disappointed with the facility and the service. Would not recommend this place. There’re much better places out there….Don’t waste your money…Not worth it!!!!
Except full rain and missing leopards, every arrangements where fully satisfactory. Enjoyed the stay
