We loved the ceremony, it was very beautiful! It was a very short ceremony though. We enjoyed the charcuterie board but the wine was not that good. Two hours was just such a long time. Since the ceremony was so short we were done with our charcuterie board and ready to leave after an hour. The address that was listed on TripAdvisor for the meeting spot was not the location that sent it a text message 15 minutes before our meeting time. As we had to take a taxi from Inverness to what we thought was the meet up spot, we had already been dropped off when we received the text. They did come and pick us up which was nice but once we were finished they were not able to take us back to where our taxi was waiting for us. It was very frustrating and communication was not the greatest.

We couldn't have asked for a more magical handfasting ceremony at Loch Ness Shores! Kacey was a wonderful registrar who delivered such a beautiful, heartfelt service, and James made us feel instantly at ease with his warm welcome and fantastic photography. Enjoying our beach picnic in such a friendly and welcoming environment was the perfect touch. Thank you both for making our day so special!

My partner and I had a beautiful experience handfasting on the shore of Loch Ness. The ceremony was lovely, thoughtful, private and very customizable. James and Kacey were wonderful to work with and we got truly beautiful photos and keepsakes to remember the day with.

This is truly an amazing and lovely experience! James and Kacey take you to the shore of Loch Ness for the ceremony and it is a magical experience! They also were fantastic about our dietary restrictions with the charcuterie board. Overall this was a magical experience filled with love. You can take a bus from Inverness out to meet them and catch a bus ride back.

This was a wonderful experience. We planned this trip 25 years ago on our honeymoon, and this is 100% what we envisioned! The meeting place was easy to find and a great spot to grab lunch and/or dinner afterward (make dinner reservations). The site is beautiful and personal. We had the option of being onshore or farther up in the trees, under a tent. We chose the shore, and the rain gave us a great break. Would recommend them 1,000 times over!!

Kacey and James provided a wonderful experience for my husband and me, and also for our daughter and her husband. We found the handfasting ceremony to be very moving, made all the more special because of being on the shores of Loch Ness.

This was a wonderful and very unique experience that we will remember for years to come. We met our guide near the Nessie statue and walked to a quiet, private location along the shores of Loch Ness where the ceremony took place. The officiant did an excellent job explaining the history and traditions behind Celtic handfasting and the origin of “tying the knot,” which made the experience feel both personal and meaningful. After the ceremony, we were left alone to enjoy a peaceful picnic beside the loch. The weather felt perfectly Scottish — windy, mostly overcast, with occasional breaks of sunshine, while the rain thankfully held off until we were heading home. When booking, there were several optional add-ons available. We chose to keep things simple, which worked well for us, though in hindsight I do wish we had arranged for a photographer. The ceremony goes by quickly, and without someone dedicated to taking pictures, it can be difficult to fully capture the experience. One note for cruise passengers considering this as a shore excursion: transportation requires planning. There are no direct trains or buses, so taxi service is really the only practical option, and travel time is about an hour each way. Fortunately, we found a wonderful driver willing to wait for us during the ceremony and return us to the ship afterward. Overall, this was a beautiful, intimate, and unforgettable experience on the shores of Loch Ness.

It was simply enchanting and magical. The lady who officiated the ceremony was extremely friendly and nice, and it was just perfect!

We had a handfasting ceremony on the shores of Loch Ness. It was fantastic. The ceremony was wonderful, everything was so lovingly and beautifully arranged. The cake and the picnic were exceptionally good. It was perfect. Thanks to James and Keacy. They were wonderful.

This handfasting ceremony was everything and more I dreamt it would be. Both Kasey and James created a beautiful and special experience that is truly unique, meaningful and beyond anything I could have imagined. The setting was spectacular, intimate and peaceful, and the picnic was delicious! They were attentive to my and our children’s dietary needs and ensured we had everything we needed, while providing us the space and privacy to enjoy the surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed speaking with both Kasey and James and sharing laughs. Truly, this was such an unforgettable experience, absolutely the highlight of my trip, and I cannot recommend enough.
