Comuna 13 var ett av de farligaste stadsdelarna i Medellin för bara 20 år sedan, men det har förvandlats till en mycket färgstark livlig plats. Förändringen började när regeringen byggde rulltrappor i området och därmed förbinder området med staden Medellin, i själva verket var dessa de första rulltrapporna som installerades i Latinamerika. Vi kommer att vandra genom Comuna 13, ta in de bästa vyerna, hip gatukonst och även ta resan på dessa utomhusrulltrappor. Jag har bott i Comuna 13 under större delen av mitt liv och har bevittnat förändringen med mina egna ögon, jag är glad att presentera dig för hur lokalbefolkningen och utforska de bästa platserna i området.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re visiting Comuna 13, do yourself a favor and book a tour with John. My group and I spent over two hours exploring the area with him, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Medellín. John was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and transformation of Comuna 13. He didn’t just show us the famous murals and escalators—he brought the neighborhood’s story to life and gave us a much deeper understanding of the people who live there. What stood out most was how much he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. He took his time answering questions, helped us with side requests, and made sure we never felt rushed. His energy, professionalism, and local insight made the tour both educational and enjoyable. By the end of the tour, I felt like I had learned more than I ever could from reading online or watching videos.
