Nice afternoon learning about Czech history and wine. Tasting room was very nice with a great selection of wine. If you are serious about wine, this tour is for you!
The venue was changed from a walking tour & tasting due to our guide’s recent surgery. However, we had a delightful wine tasting with a lively discussion of wine history in Czech Republic. Mike was delightful and very good at imparting his knowledge to us. We enjoyed the wines and dis over Ed a grape previously unknown to us. Would recommend highly. Tasting was held at Wine Not - a great venue!
Michal was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had very good time at the tour and wine tasting and learned a lot, not only about the history of Prague but also of winemaking. Such a fun and different take to a "city tour". Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Michael was very knowledgeable and friendly, but this tour was solely focused on the history of wine and we were hoping for more of a walking tour of Prague sbd Prague’s history with wine. Perhaps we didn’t fully understand what we were getting into, but it wasn’t as engaging as we’d hoped. In the end, the bar we ended up at was great, just make sure you’re really into all the history of wine, back to the Bible.
This was an absolutely wonderful experience. We actually took our kid there as part of their celebration of turning 18- and the staff were wonderful in explaining the wine and engaging the guests. And the wine itself was incredibly diverse and great, with a great mechanism for being able to taste a bit from an amaziningly wide range of choices.
Had a fabulous time! Michel, our guide, provided wonderful tidbits about Czech wine/wine history! The local wine bar (Wine Not) overlooked the Vltava River and was a great atmosphere to partake in Czech wine and also a tasty charcuterie board! Even brought a few bottles home with us! Highly recommend this tour!
Mike did an excellent job giving the background of winemaking, it's ties to Christianity and how winemaking affected Prague specifically and Europe in general. It was fun to learn about the wine symbols on various building that served as addresses prior to numbered address systems. (Mike 25 gave the tour)
It was a great experience. We are older and did not want to participate in the first hour of walking. We contacted Mike and he was very accommodating to meet us at the wine bar. His explanation of the history of Czech wines was very interesting and infomative. All five wines sampled were of high quality. Very worthwhile activity for wine enthusiasts.
My guide was very informative, enjoyed the historical walking portion of the tour as well as the wine tasting. Very generous pours and were able to order small snacks to accompany the wine tasting.
Our guide had great details on wine history. It was absolutely worth! Super interesting. Highly recommended. We had a guided tour into Prag, with stops at key historical places.
