Galveston har sett ett fruktansvärt antal plötsliga dödsfall. Ett ogudaktigt antal av öns dyrt avlidna, ja, aldrig lämnat. Deras andar lurar i skuggorna, gränderna, trappor och förföljer Stranden varje dag! De historiska 1800-talsbyggnaderna på Strand har blivit spökreservat, och spökena inuti längtar efter att träffa dig. Följ med oss på vår 90-minuters vandringstur när vi utforskar de fascinerande paranormala händelserna på stranden, den ursprungliga skräckgatan. Orkaner, krig, eld och epidemier! Piraten Jean Lafitte förvandlade till och med ön till ett håla av tjuvar. Galveston har fler spöken än någon annan stad i USA När du går på natten kommer genomskinliga figurer att sväva vid fönstren. Skuggor kommer plötsligt att dyka upp och föremål rör sig av sig själva när vi kryper närmare varandra för är ömsesidigt skydd. Vi vet aldrig vad som väntar oss runt hörnen. Akta dig och var rädd! När allt kommer omkring är Galveston ingenting annat än "en kyrkogård med en strand kopplad."

På sin höjdpunkt såg denna järnvägsstation över 40 000 människor om dagen på väg till Galvestons barer, kasinon och bordeller. En ingenjör vid namn William Watson skulle underhålla de förbipasserande folkmassorna genom att göra handstående på motorernas boskapsvakt. En olycklig dag halkade han och blev omedelbart halshuggen. En derbyhatt satt fortfarande säkert på huvudet som de hittade en mil bort!
Så många dignitärer, soldater, politiker och till och med presidenter har checkat in...men några checkade aldrig ut. Gråtande snyftningar hörs i trapphusen och i hallarna. En inbördeskrigssoldat marscherar upp och ner i lobbyn för alla att se. En liten pojke leker på hotellet som ryktas vara spöket efter ett barn som blivit överkört utanför hotellet. Ett hjälpsamt spöke kommer till och med att packa upp åt dig!
Charles F. Coghlan, en berömd brittisk skådespelare, seglade till Galveston för att pryda scenen i The Grand Opera House. Men stackars Charles dog innan ridån någonsin höjdes. Vad ska man göra med denna framstående besökares kropp? I väntan på svaret rev den stora stormen ön och bar ut Charles kista till havet. Det flöt från Galveston till Prince Albert Sound innan det slutligen landade ... ungefär en mil från där Charles planerade att gå i pension.

Went on the tour last night with my family and a random couple who happened to book at the same time! Thomas, our guide, was HILARIOUS, and he did a great job including everyone as he told the story and cracked some jokes along the way. He’s very knowledgeable about the history, great with imagery and storytelling, and open to comfort accommodations (some stops, we were given opportunities to sit down). I was honestly sad when the tour ended, because I felt like our group (yes, my family, thomas, AND the strangers!) had all bonded with a story between us. I wouldn’t have any other guide for this tour, and I’d LOVE to come again.

Thomas was amazing! So fun! Would recommend. The burial at sea was definitely considered as “salt to the wound” I great activity for a night out in Galveston.
