Först ska vi besöka Shinjuku 3-chrome, där du kan uppleva autentiska lokala teppanyaki-restauranger och du kommer att göra din egen "Okonomiyaki" och "Monja-yaki". Njut av den utsökta maten och dryckerna medan du minglar med den vänliga lokalbefolkningen. Detta är ett bra sätt att upptäcka det riktiga nattlivet i gamla stan i Tokyo.
Därefter åker vi till Omoide Yokocho. Denna smala gränd är packad med över 60 små barer och restauranger som serverar läckra Yakitori, Motsuyaki och andra lokala specialiteter. Du kan njuta av den varma och vänliga atmosfären på platsen, chatta med lokalbefolkningen och smaka på en mängd olika drycker, från Sake och Shochu till öl och whisky. Vi besökte en levande Japanska spelhall där både barn och vuxna kan ha kul! Från att spela Taiko Drum Master och ta roliga bilder i Purikura-båsen, tävla i Mario Kart, till att uppleva spänningen i Wangan-bilracing – det var den perfekta platsen att njuta av Japans lekfulla sida tillsammans. Shinjuku Golden Gai är ett unikt dryckesdistrikt i Tokyos Shinjuku-avdelning. Det har över 200 små barer packade i smala gränder, var och en med sin egen personlighet och tema. (gäller endast när tiden tillåter)
Efter arkaden begav vi oss till en plats där vuxna kan njuta av Japanska sakeprovningar – med urval från olika regioner i Japan – medan barn (och vuxna också!) kan ha kul i den Japanska snackbaren. Det är en fantastisk plats där alla, oavsett ålder, kan njuta av något speciellt.

This tour was the perfect way to explore Shinjuku. We visited places only locals know, tried awesome Japanese pancakes, yakitori, and even did sake tasting. Our guide Juri was incredible — her English was excellent and she explained so much about the culture and the area. We asked her everything and she always had an answer. Such a great introduction to Shinjuku! Ps loved the Whattsapp contact prior!

Our entire family - ages 6 to 46 - had an incredible night. We went to three delicious places we never would've found on our own, and Shuhei was a delight to hang out with for the evening. He expertly led us around, helped us find the food we wanted, and entertained the kids for hours while the adults enjoyed the great food and drink. Cannot say enough good things about this tour and about Shuhei specifically. If you're visiting Tokyo from afar, and enjoy food, this is a must do.

We had a really lovely Tour guided by Maho. The Food was truely tasty. Maho gave us the opportunity to get to know Tokio from a different perspective. She gave us a lot of insights in Tokios restaurants and also suggested some amazing places, which we will check off our list in the following days. Thank you, Maho! This was Tokio at its best.

Great tour. Our guide Maho was brilliant, excellent English and she was great with our kids. Also she was very accommodating with dietary requirements and fussy eating kids.

Our guide Shuhei was awesome! Very articulate punctual and full of information! The food was interesting, spots we would not have found. My only complaint having done other food tours in other cities is that there were only 3 stops. I would have preferred smaller bites and more locations.

This was definitely a great cultural experience with our 2 teen boys. We got to learn a bit more about what teens in Japan do, like photo booths and go to a dedicated “snack” restaurant. I do feel it was a bit expensive for only one meal being included and paying out of pocket for the rest.
