Detta tempel är absolut vackert och ett av favoriterna hittills jämfört med andra många helgedomar i Japan. Det finns mycket mindre turister här vilket ger dig möjlighet att njuta av och njuta av omgivningarna. Det finns också massor av små restauranger och ställen att köpa souvenirer. Vi hade en riktigt trevlig promenad upp för att se detta - 25 minuter från Nagano station och det var väl värt promenaden. En riktigt vacker plats.
Monzen Terrace Enya är ett bra ställe att äta ute i Nagano, Japan. En bit bort från centrala Nagano ligger det dock ganska nära Zenkoji-templet och som varmt rekommenderas som boende. Maten är en fantasifull blandning av västerländsk (t.ex. pizza och pasta) och japansk stil.
Jigokudani Monkey Park (地獄谷野猿公苑, Jigokudani Yaen Kōen) erbjuder besökarna den unika upplevelsen att se vilda apor bada i en naturlig varm källa. Du kliver av fordonet och går en mjuk 30 minuters promenad genom en spektakulär skog och kommer fram till en ravin. För en mycket rimlig kostnad går du sedan in i det begränsade området där du kan bo och se aporna leka och bada. Parken är bebodd av japanska makaker, som också är kända som snöapor.

Ali was very accommodating with our group. He arranged everything for us, he got us as close to the snow monkey park as possible, and he gave us great tips for visiting the temple. Our children don’t do well with structured tours so this was perfect for us.
This private Snow Monkey and Zenkoji Temple tour was a great day out. Moiz was professional, punctual, and very attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The sake tasting was a nice bonus, and the private tour made the experience stress-free and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our day exploring the Monkey Park. The hike through the forest was beautiful and our guide and driver (Ali and Abdul) did a great job. While we didn’t see many monkeys since it was off season, we had a great day. My advice: go at a different time of year but request Ali and Abdul to be your driver and guide!

We had an amazing time on the 1-Day Private Snow Monkey Zenkoji Temple & Sake Tasting Tour! From the moment we met our guide, everything was seamless. Extremely Disappointed. "Smile" tours misrepresented what it delivers. This is a driver service only. There is no guide for the monkey park or temple. There is no sake tasting. The lunch was not good - it included the worst sushi I've ever had. This company is trying to present itself as another company that actually offers an English speaking guide to the attractions. And it takes longer than 6 hours, since they don't mention the two hour roundtrip drive to the monkey park. Our driver was a nice person but he could have spoken Japanese and it wouldn't have mattered since he barely spoke to us...
