Startpunkt: Avresa från hotellet Vi åker från ditt hotell kl 7:30. Den här cykelturen är lugn och vi kommer att ha roligt tillsammans. Du kommer att se det verkliga livet för människor som bor i detta landsbygdsområde och du kan se djungeln, djuren och fåglarna.
PRASAT ANGKOR WAT är det största och mest kända Khmer-templet, byggt på 1100-talet, mellan 1113 -1150, under Suryavarman II:s regeringstid. Templet är 65 meter högt och omges av en stor vallgrav [Ko Tek]. Ytter- och innerväggarna är täckta med fantastiska basreliefer.
PRASAT BAYON eller ANGKOR THOM är ett tempel i buddhistisk stil byggt i slutet av 1100-talet/början av 1200-talet av Jayavarnam VII. Bayon har 54 torn som representerar de 54 provinserna före och under Khmerriket. Det finns över 200 leende ansikten snidade på de 54 tornen. Bayon var en blomstrande huvudstad men skadades tyvärr 1811 av Cham-inkräktare.
Chau Say Tevoda är ett tempel i Angkor, Kambodja. Det ligger strax öster om Angkor Thom, direkt söder om Thommanon tvärs över Victory Way. Byggt i mitten av 1100-talet är det ett hinduiskt tempel under Angkor Wat-perioden. Den är tillägnad Shiva och Vishnu med unika typer av kvinnliga skulpturer av devatas inskrivna i den.
PRASAT TA PROMH, byggd i slutet av 1100-talet av Jayavarman VII, tillägnades 1186 sin mor. Ursprungligen hade detta tempel en buddhistisk bakgrund men omvandlades senare till hindu, så vissa buddhistiska gallerier förstördes och ersattes av hinduiska symboler som Yoni och Lingam. Dess läge är 1,5 km från Bayon genom Victory Gate. Ta Promh är känt för träden (kallade "Spung") som växer kraftigt upp, på och över sandstensblockets väggar.
Ta Nei är ett stentempel från sent 1100-tal i Angkor, Kambodja. Den byggdes under kung Jayavarman VII:s regeringstid och ligger nära det nordvästra hörnet av East Baray, en stor helig reservoar. Den var tillägnad Buddha.
East (Death) Gate är en av de fem portar som vaktar den antika staden Angkor Thom. Den byggdes av kung Jayavarman VII i slutet av 1100-talet som en del av återuppbyggnaden av staden, efter segern över Cham fiendens armé 1181 AD. Även om forskare är oense om symboliken i de magnifika fem portarna som vaktar staden, är den mest utbredda teorin att gudarna och demonerna som håller nagas kropp representerar skapelsemyten som visas i "Churning of the Ocean Milk", den berömda reliefen vid Angkor Wat.

I highly recommend this experience!! Riding bikes around Angkor Wat with Mr. K was really informative and lots of fun. The trails were easy and made for a much more immersive experience than if we were riding in a van. Mr. K tailored the trip to our needs and we spent the time we wanted at each temple. He took us to a nice spot for lunch and we ended the day with a wonderful cold beverage. This cycle tour was a highlight of our trip!!

My partner and I were really glad to have stretched our legs a bit on a biking tour - - it helped to break up the day of walking through temples and get us to some of the spots we might not have made it to otherwise. Mr K was on-time and had bikes ready and waiting for us - it was an easy way to get a special touch on top of an already spectacular place to explore. My husband and I had the most wonderful cycling tour of some of the smaller more unknown temples in the Angkor Wat complex. We felt very safe with good helmets and were led by our great guide ‘K’. We cycled through well paved trails through a jungle environment in lovely heat. If we needed to rest we could and the short sections on the road were not difficult. We were able to access some beautiful smaller temples that we would not have seen otherwise. A truly unique way to travel around the beauty of Angkor Wat. I would highly recommend this tour.
