Upptäck den livliga atmosfären i Mainz med en insider och hör intressanta historier istället för tråkiga dejter. Naturligtvis om datum är din grej, då har jag en Ph.D. i historia och kommer inte att lämna dig lust! Förutom "Big 5" kommer vi att titta på de små detaljerna som gör livet i Mainz så fascinerande och som gör att du kan uppleva den riktiga tyska kulturen och livsstilen.

Turen börjar på Rhenpromenaden med vacker utsikt över floden.
Vid det magnifika domkyrkotorget ser vi färgglada, utsmyckade gamla hus och den vackra renässansbrunnen. Om vi har tur kommer vi också att uppleva den traditionella bondemarknaden som fortfarande äger rum här varje tisdag, fredag och lördag (fram till kl. 14.00) som den har gjort i århundraden.
Från katedralen kommer vi att promenera genom den närliggande bilfria gamla stan ("Altstadt"). Vi kommer att gå längs de romantiska slingrande gränderna i den medeltida delen av staden och upptäcka pittoreska små torg som Körsbärsträdgården ("Kirschgarten") med sina korsvirkeshus.
I över tusen år har den mäktiga St. Martin-katedralen tornar upp sig över den antika staden Mainz. Här har kungar krönts och den protestantiska reformationen tändes. Upptäck dess många unika egenskaper, hör om dess dramatiska historia och träffa den huvudlösa St. Alban i klostret.

The tour of Old Mainz with Judith was absolutely superb! She made the history of the area come alive with her stories of the history, architecture , economic importance of this old city and made us fall in love with Mainz! It was truly the highlight of our time in Germany and would highly recommend her tour to anyone considering visiting this city. Judith is well informed about Mainz and a great communicator. Mainz is a historic German city on the Rhine, famous for being the birthplace of Gutemberg and home to an important museum dedicated to him. With a prominent Romanesque cathedral and vibrant traditions such as Carnival.
This is one of the best tours we have had. Judith was wonderful and it was wonderful to tour with a local. You will no be disappointed to book this tour!
