This guided tour was the best! The activities were great and they felt really authentic. We learnt so much about the temple, rituals, but also the culture and food. Alissa was amazing as our guide. She knew so much, was really nice and allowed us to have really great exchanges with the persons in charge of the activities. We felt really comfortable and the whole afternoon was really amazing ! We recommend this tour and Guide a 100% ! Thank you again

Thank you Alissa, your help was appreciated by my boyfriend for the explanations about the culture and by me for trying to explain to the locals that I don't eat meat 🍖🚫 We also booked this temple stay due to the fact that they could offer food without meat / fish. The food was delicious and a good way to try different samples of the local cuisine. Thank you, we hope to come back to Japan in the future and do another tour ❤️❤️❤️
Tour guide Alissa was great - knowledgeable and took us to some places we wouldn't have found ourselves. Fabulous tea ceremony experience with very friendly people. Shukubo stay was a good experience of traditional Japan but the hostess was fierce and not very friendly.
It was a great experience. Our guide had very much knowlodge about the culture and history. It was a very fun experience! I would recommend it. The tea, fire and sake experiences where very nice. We really enjoyed !!
Booked through snow monkey our Alissa was great we stayed overnight at the temple accommodation which was better than expected- the tour around the temple, tea ceremony and sake tasting plus food was so good - we paid extra to do attend the pryers the next day which was great and our volunteer guide was superb - definitely recommend
I had an excellent experience with Kevin as our guide. The communication was outstanding from start to finish, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and cultured, and he answered all of our questions in great detail, always with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. He speaks fluent, native-level English and also has a strong command of Japanese, which made it much easier to interact with locals and access places we wouldn’t have been able to navigate on our own. We also really appreciated the warm welcome and his flexibility in adapting the meeting point to suit us. The experience felt very high-quality and personal, especially since it was just the two of us, which made it even more special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who can afford it — it’s truly worth it. Additionally, our overnight stay in a shukubo at a temple near Zenkoji was a very positive experience. The welcome was warm, and the host was attentive and caring throughout our stay.

Shawn was a fabulous tour guide, being happy, friendly, very informative and checking in on us making sure we enjoyed our tour. The tour was great value for money and well paced. Alissia, who was learning was a beautiful girl who accompanied Shawn on the tour. She was lovely too. I highly recommend this tour and hope you are lucky enough to get Shawn as your Guide!!!!
