Stone Town, Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO, é uma das cidades comerciais históricas intactas da África Oriental. É uma abundância de lojas, sua mistura de pessoas, seus mercados e restaurantes movimentados, mesquitas, igrejas e templos hindus combinam e diferentes culturas. No nosso passeio pela Stone Town, você pode descobrir artefatos interessantes como as portas árabes curvas com pinos de latão, varandas curvas, o posto colonial ou o mercado Kanga. Nossos guias irão detectar as coisas mais interessantes. O passeio inclui o mercado central, o antigo mercado de escravos, a catedral anglicana, a casa da maravilha, o antigo forte, Freddie Mercury House e muito mais.
Hoje a ilha é um pequeno resort turístico, famoso por suas tartarugas gigantes. Nosso guia de turismo lhe dará uma breve introdução ao passado interessante da ilha e você pode depois passar algum tempo a tomar sol, nadar ou caminhar para ver tartarugas e pavões. Além disso, um tradicional barco de madeira o levará à Prison Island. A ilha foi usada anteriormente como uma prisão privada para escravos desobedientes. Mais tarde, uma prisão foi construída, mas nunca foi realmente usada.

Khamis is very knowledgeable and gave us in-depth knowledge and information about stone town and prison island! We started off the day at a reasonable time after being dropped off by our driver from Nungwi. I recommend Khamis to everyone!

We went to StoneTown on our first day in Zanzibar. Khamis took us from the hotel and drove us to Stonetown where we got on a boat and reached Prison Island. There he told us the history of the island - he was very explanatory and we learned a lot of things. We saw turtles that where more than 100 years old. We took some pictures and then we went back to Stonetown. We went on a tour in the city and Khamis told us how old the city was. We saw a lot if culture and historical sites. It is a must see. We even saw the slaves museum there. After that we went to the Spice farm. This was the best part of the day. The people from the farm showed us many fruit and spices plants - cinnamon, avocado and many more. In the end there was a boy who climbed a palm to the end of it and sang a traditional song. Then they cut us a coconut to dring and to eat. At the end we could buy spices for home. It was a wonderful experience - thanks to Khamis, I definetely recommend him - he was kind to everyone of my family. Definitely the best tour guide we could find!

Fantastic guide! (Tall) was very knowledgeable and lots of fun, we were sceptical about Stone Town but Tall made it very enjoyable. The history and builds were fascinating.

Had a great time touring with our guide, Tall, who showed us the amazing sights of prison island and gave us a great historical rundown of how the island came to be. Since we took a private tour, we got to cater the experience to focus on only the elements of the island we cared for. We spent a great amount of time also learning about the turtles that currently inhabit the island, and, on our way back got to have the freshest fruits for lunch. Highly recommend this tour!
