The provider To Do in Slovenia canceled the activity less than 14 hours before it was to take place, I was told it was due to medical issues of the guide and Viator was told it was because the minimum number of people had not been reached, so I do not understand what this absurd survey is about. I just hope that my refund is processed correctly and they have lost a customer for good.
Good organization. We had the time to do all the visits at our own pace. Visit to Predjama Castle with an audio guide in the chosen language is really great. The Postojna Caves are magnificent. We had a wonderful day.
we kicked around in ljubljana for 4 hours. 3 of them doing nothing. then we waited an hour after returning to ljubljana for our driver to take us back to zagreb (she had taken people to a trip to Bled and they left 5 hours after arriving in Ljubjana and hence were late getting back. our trip to predjama cave and castle went perfectly.

This was a small group tour and we were picked up on time by Damjan. The drive from Zagreb to Ljubljana was about 2 hours with a stop along the way. We meet with a local tour guide for a walking tour of the city. Afterwards we grabbed a quick lunch and meet Damjan to continue to the castle and caves. The castle was built into a cave. At the entrance we were provided with a hand held headset to listen to the different exhibits. Lots of stairs and follow the numbers along the way. This castle is a must see. The next stop were the caves. We took a short train deep into the cave then got out and walked about a mile. The guide explained the formations and provided time for pictures. Prior to meeting the train to return to the surface, you’ll be able to see the “ tiny dragon” that lives inside the cave as well as mailing a postcard ( you will need to purchase the card and stamp) from inside the cave. Damjan meet us and drove everyone back to Zagreb. The day was about 12 hours and Damjan kept us on time, provided background on each of the areas and got us to/from safely.

There is a lot of walking and very little time for food so have snacks ready! The tour of Lublijana was excellent but we could have done with a scheduled stop for food and rest. The castle was amazing but lots of steep steps. For us the highlight was Postojna Cave.

From the moment we buckled up in the van until we said goodbye later that evening, we had an amazing experience visiting Slovenia. The guided tour in Ljubljana was excellent. Everything was enthusiastically explained with obvious pride for the city. We also loved visiting the Predjama Castle. Being able to walk throughout the castle at our own pace using the electronic guide was a great way to see and learn about the historic culture. Seeing the Postojna Cave was absolutely astounding and breathtaking. The whole day was well worth the money. We definitely would use Viator again!
