Lucija (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was amazing, she told me a lot about Croatian folklore and traditions. She was extremely nice and made me feel at home inside the beautifully decorated Croatian House. The workshop was really relaxing as well, it was the perfect activity for me, a guy who had a banging hangover on that day. Very memorable experience, highly recommend it!
Amazing ! I really had a fun time
I'd travelled solo in Jan and during off-peak. Loved that Ivan welcomed me even when I was the only guest. Super interesting to learn about the local culture and painting some artefacts. Had a great chat with him and learned so much. Welcomed with 2 rakijas and chocolates. Highly recommend :)
I did the Hearts of Zagreb workshop with a friend and it was absolutely amazing! Ivan and Ana went above and beyond to make us feel at home, they sat down with us and talked to us about the things they're passionate about. And it's super clear that they are very passionate about everything they do. Their smiles, laughs, stories and warm, welcoming spirits really made this more than just a fun workshop. ❤️ They presented the house and the 4 regions of Croatia, which was so unique and interesting. I'd love to come again. It wasn't crowded at all and that's what made it even more special.
Very enjoyable - we danced, not well with Ivan and Ana and drank coffee and honey brandy as we learnt about Croatian culture.
We had an absolutely brilliant time with Ivan and Anna here today! They went all out to show us the beauty and hospitality of their culture. They answered every question we had, and in the end engaged in a truly interesting discussion with us - a group from Australia, the US, and the UK. We will cherish our experience with them! Love that I captured how high they jumped during one of many dances - @Ivan @Anna, it's a good sign!
The folklore workshop was wonderful and very authentic. We made traditional hearts and tasted Croatian sweets and liqueurs while learning about the local culture and its ethnic background. Ivan was an excellent host, very knowledgeable, warm, and welcoming. His English was perfect, and he explained everything very well. The experience was perfectly organized and felt very personal. Highly recommended!
This was such a wonderful unique experience. Ivan was incredibly kind and even though I was the only one who signed up for the class, he did not cancel.
We were the only people that booked the workshop. However that didn’t make it any less fun. The girl started with showing us the house and telling about the different regions of Croatia and the different ways of living. Then we started painting the wooden horse and hearts of Zagreb while tasting 4 different local brandys and two different pastries. Also while painting she told us more about traditions and the city. She was very nice and also offered to bring us to the traditional dancing and music playing they were doing right after the workshop. Here we chatted with a couple bandmembers who were also very nice.
We throughly enjoyed our experience with hearts of Zagreb and did a double workshop of both the folkloric show and dancing as well as the craft activity. The beautiful setting and passionate, friendly and welcoming hosts set the scene for a wonderful and fun cultural experience! The workshop involved painting wooden horses and cute hearts while enjoying lovely Croatian sweets and lots of different liquors while also listening to beautiful music and dancing! Thank you to Ivan and Ana-Maria for making us feel so welcome through your lovely hospitality!
