We enjoyed the Valley of the Queens more than the Valley of the Kings. The colours are stronger and it was quieter. The Valley of the Queens entry fee is 220 Egyptian pounds and Hatshepsut Temple is 440 Egyptian pounds
Waleed is just the nicest guy and he cared about everything. I contacted him via hus I stagram, because a friend in Luxembourg recommended him. We got picked up at our hotel in Soma Bay, Safaga at 05:45 just as planned and we had a private driver who took us to Luxor (240KM) in about two and a half hours. We met Waleed, our guide, at the entrance of the Karnak temple, he had already bought our tickets and then he showed us round. He had plenty of interesting information and explained all the ancient egyptian gods with their symbols and what they stand for and showed us which kings build the different parts of the temple. After that we visited the vakley of the kings which was very impressive. After that we did the memnon status and then we had lunch. Lunch was included in out price. Although it was a very crowdy place with a lot of tourists, we got a table after 5 minutes and food was delicious. Then we stopped by a local shop where they craft things out of different stones. You can buy something, but they don‘t insist so no worries. I still bought a nice vase out of Alabaster. Very stylish. Ladt but not least we visited the Hatshepsut temple and then we were driven back to our hotel. We were two persons and the price was more than fair. If you wanna visut Luxor, do it with Waleed, you won‘t be dissppointed!
Great visit with Walid, expert and knowledgeable, very good english, took us to great hidden gems, and through an history masterclass
The guide Wallid was always on time, helpfull and had a very good knowledge of the history, facts and places. We tour Luxor , Assuã and Abu Simber and it was wonderful!
Walid arranged everything for me. My guide was Reem & she was excellent explaining everything simply so I could understand and enjoy my time at a nice speed which was perfect for me. Ask for Reem to guide you and you will have a fabulous time. Kind Regards Ken
Absolutely loved our day trip to the valley of kings. Good amount of time spent and felt like we could stay longer or be quicker as we chose. The valley itself is incredible. We really enjoyed the trip. FYI you’ll go to a store to purchase items. Don’t buy anything unless you’re already keen for it! Always cheaper elsewhere. Guide was excellent and overall an fab way to see the valley of kings. Would definitely recommend.
My friend and I had a blast with Waleed. We spent two days with him. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited, and he gave great recommendations for the places to see to make the most of our time and also tips for what we can do on our own time, like taking a boat to banana island and going to Luxor Museum. We arrived at the train station in the morning and Waleed was there as soon as I exited the train, holding my name card. He had a driver ready and took us straight to the temples at Karnak, then to Luxor Temple. It was a fascinating time. We learned a lot, and he also gave us time to explore the places on our own and take pictures, and showed us where to take the best photos. After all the sightseeing he brought us to our hotel and helped us get checked in. We made plans for the following day to take a sunrise hot air balloon, which he arranged for us with the balloon company, and to visit the West Bank sites. The balloon company picked us up from our hotel in the morning, and Waleed was ready for us when we finished. After that he took us to a cafe restaurant before going to the Colossi at Memnon, the valley of the kings, and Hatshepsut temple, all of which were amazing. Waleed was very knowledgeable and experienced and taught us a lot about the history and meaning of the places we were visiting and how they were built and answered all our questions. We finished off the tour going to a store selling authentic souvenirs made of different stones and went to a nice buffet restaurant, and dropped us off at our hotel. All in all a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience.
We have done West Bank Luxor guided tour and we are very happy with our tour guide Rania, who has amazing knowledge of Egypt history (she is Egyptologist) and explains everything with a big passion. Actually after all tours we did in Egypt with different tour guides, she is definitely the best! Very recommendable to do guises tour with Rania if your are in Luxor!!
We spent two days with Walid and what an amazing experience. Never have we had such an enthusiastic and informed guide. He was so kind too and even helped us take great photos. We are so lucky to have found Walid and can’t wait to use him again next time we come to Egypt!
I spent several days with guide Walid all over the West and East bank of the Nile in Luxor. I can say hands down the best guided tours of my life. Walid is extremely knowledgable, patient and kind. He is great at being flexible and setting up the tours to ensure his guests have a good experience. Walid went above and beyond making us feel safe, informed and excited to be in Egypt. He really made the trip for us. He became a friend and we really enjoyed his expertise, knowledge and passion for all of the incredible ancient sites. He was very accommodating in how we wanted to spend our time at the various sites. It was also very important to him that we got the best prices. It was a truly incredible experience. I would recommend again and again!
It was a great pleasure for me to be with you through your visit to Luxor and I really enjoyed your company, hope that we can meet again soon 🙂, Walid
