Paul was a great guide, I learned a lot about the history of Santa Cruz and got to see a lot of parts of the city I want to return to. Engaging and informative tour.
First off, for context, know I am a person usually too lazy to actually write reviews. So the fact that I am taking the time to write one is a statement in itself. This experience was a quick and easy way to learn about the wonders of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Paul was very personable and a great ambassador for the city. He is authentic about "the good," but also "the bad." In most cases, as with lots in life, there are nuances as to why Santa Cruz is what it is today. I appreciated that Paul did not attempt to just say "Santa Cruz is great" and I left with the impression Paul seriously wanted me to know Santa Cruz as it actually is. As a guide, Paul was very hospitable and understands Santa Cruz is not the next tourist hotspot, but at the same time wants everyone to enjoy their time while in the city. For English speakers, have no worries as Paul could converse with ease. If you are in Santa Cruz, might as well have a good time with a local. 😉
I really enjoyed Paul’s walking tour. He’s very knowledgeable about the history of Santa Cruz and presented facts and stories in a very interesting way. He was very patient on answering my many queries. I’d defo recommend this tour for anyone visiting Santa Cruz
Paul really brought the history of Santa Cruz alive, especially its explosive growth from 1960 marking a transformation from a provincial town into an economic powerhouse.
It was an amazing experience, I Did both of the tours
Paul is very knowledgeable about the history of Santa Cruz and passionate about it. He also has a strong grasp about the artistic features and their significance. I learned so much in the two hours with him. Highly recommend him.
Excellent tour to learn a lot about Santa Cruz in a few hours. Paul is very dedicated and knowledgeable. He took us to all the important sights and museums in downtown Santa Cruz in a comfortable, fact packed few hours. We much enjoyed spending time with him and learning all he had to share. Highly recommended.
It was a great experience, a walking tour for getting to know the most of Santa Cruz, the most important places at the city oldtown and the tour guide has a lot of information.
Very misrepresented. The worst city tour ever. The tour was nothing but a 2 hour city history lecture that could have easily been obtained through Google or Wikipedia. The entire tour was around 400 steps walk around Plaza September 24. Not even a city bock let alone a City Tour. Very disappointing and waste of time and money!
Excellent history of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Very good and genuine person. Do it? Santa Cruz has a very different history compared to La Paz, Sucre etc. A much more independent state.
