Great food, excellent performers. All with a beautiful view of the beach I was skeptical about going and this show made me glad I went!!
What a fun review to read, Carolyn! Mahalo for coming with an open mind and leaving a believer.
Everything, from the host to the dancers, musicians and singers were very professional! The location put it over the top!
We're so glad everything came together for you, Paul. Mahalo nui loa for sharing this.
Disappointed due to the rave reviews. This is NOT on the beach. There is an Outdoor ocean view but the entertainment is set up on a stage and the guests are on the lawn of a 2 star hotel where the guests sit out and watch from their balconies. The location is central on the island but the Hilton Garden Inn is in need of an upgrade. Only one restroom nearby so we had to walk to the banquet center within the hotel. Drinks were watered down. The entertainment was excellent and the food was authentic but it felt like a cheap wedding. We enjoyed the lei greeting but the premium seating versus standard seating with lines made it feel like standing in line to board a Southwest flight. Not worth the price. Arrive early or sit in the back. Bring a shawl or light jacket because it will get chilly as the night sets in.
Thank you for such a thorough account of the evening. We're glad the entertainment and the authentic food stood out, and we'll take the rest of your notes to heart.
Food was average at best…..entertainment excellent
Thank you for the honest take. It's great that the entertainment hit the mark, and we appreciate the note on the food so we can keep refining it.
Lots of activities before dinner so arrive on time! Dinner was ok, didn’t enjoy much and it got cold quickly. Luau and history was great!
Thank you, Carol, for the honest take on your visit. The luau and its history clearly hit the mark, and we appreciate the heads-up on dinner so we can keep improving.
Good tasting food!! Nice show as well.
Mahalo for the shoutout, Patrina! Happy that the food and the show hit the spot.
I’ve been to at least 7 other luaus in Hawaii and I’d rate this one the lowest. It wasn’t bad but there was nothing about would warrant me recommending it to others, particularly at $200 per ticket. The setting was ok with sea views over a parking lot, the drinks were weak and watery, and the food was very average. The entertainment was good, particularly the young man who did the fire sword performance, but I’ve seen more impressive luau shows overall. This is one I’d definitely skip unless you have your heart set on a luau and everything else is sold out. We paid for premium seating so we did go through the food line first and had front row seats.
Mahalo for the honest feedback, Johnna. Sounds like our performer with the fire sword made an impression, even if the rest didn't fully match what you've seen elsewhere.
Our entire staff recently attended the Wailua Nui Lūʻau, and we had such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted with fresh flower lei and genuine aloha from the friendly staff. The beautiful oceanfront setting, surrounded by coconut trees and illuminated beneath the evening sky, created the perfect atmosphere. The pre-show activities, such as lei-making, were fun and interactive, while the live Hawaiian music added a special touch to the evening. The traditional underground imu ceremony was a wonderful cultural experience, and the buffet featured a delicious variety of local favorites, with something for everyone to enjoy. The authentic performances and storytelling were truly entertaining, taking us on a journey through Hawaiʻi, Tahiti, Tonga, and Samoa. The performers were talented and engaging, the costumes were vibrant, and the emcee did a wonderful job explaining the cultural significance behind the different dances. The fire-knife performance was an exciting way to end the evening! Our team had an amazing time together, and the entire experience was filled with warmth, culture, and aloha. We highly recommend Wailua Nui Lūʻau to visitors, families, friends, and local groups looking for a memorable evening on Kauaʻi. Mahalo to the entire Wailua Nui Lūʻau team for your wonderful hospitality!
What a beautiful review to read. We're so glad the food, music, and storytelling gave your whole group a true taste of aloha.
Everything about this luau is top notch, from the food and beverages provided to the amazingly talented performers. The support staff were incredible as well. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone!
What a nice recap, Grant! It's great to hear everything from the entertainment to the staff came together for a top-notch night.
One of the best luau's in the entire country it was amazing and the experience and the culture and the food was divine. The drinks are complementary and the blue Hawaiian and the mai ties are fantastic. I will never forget this and the food again was Divine to see The roaster pig come out of the ground was amazing and extra delicious
What a beautiful review to read. Thank you, Regine, for sharing your thoughts on the culture and the food, and we're glad the blue Hawaiian hit the spot too.
