⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re debating whether to book the Oceanstar Turtle Canyon snorkel excursion, stop thinking about it and just book it. It was hands-down one of the best experiences of our entire Hawaii vacation. From the moment we stepped on board, the crew made us feel welcome. They were organized, professional, funny, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had an amazing time. The safety briefing was clear, the snorkeling equipment was in excellent condition, and they made even first-time snorkelers feel completely at ease. Then came the unforgettable part—we were surrounded by Hawaiian green sea turtles gliding effortlessly through the crystal-clear water. Watching them in their natural habitat was something no photo or video can truly capture. We also saw beautiful tropical fish, and the water conditions made for incredible visibility. What really sets Oceanstar apart is that it’s a true family-owned and operated business, and you can feel that personal touch in every part of the experience. It doesn’t feel like a large, corporate tour at all—everyone on board is genuinely caring, hands-on, and focused on making sure guests have an incredible and safe experience. We’ve done excursions in several vacation destinations, and this one ranks at the very top. If you’re looking for an experience you’ll still be talking about long after you get home, this is it. I would recommend Oceanstar to friends and family without hesitation, and we’ll absolutely be booking with them again the next time we’re on Oahu. Very professional tour with hotel pick up and snacks included. We saw lots of turtles and got to do paddle boarding and kayaking. We had lots of time to spend in the water doing the various activities.

Amazing!! Didn’t know it was a Korean boat experience and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The staff was so helpful with the dive and even took my phone to video! They helped us understand what was going on in English separately and were super kind. They took such good pictures and the ramen after was amazing 20/10 experience, Highly recommended

Such a fun snorkeling tour! We saw a lot of turtles and even dolphins, which made the experience unforgettable. The crew was very friendly and took many great photos for us. Thank you so much for an amazing time!

Oceanstar boat and crew were great! Troy and Zoey were great with instructions! We saw lots of fishes and the turtles were huge!

The turtle encounter in the beautiful sea was mind blowing. The guide and helpers were wonderful. Highly recommend this experience :)

I didn’t go on this boat, but I went with another to turtle canyon. ocean star ruined the experience. the snorkel guide was SCREAMING the ENTIRE time. he dragged his guests directly over our group, we all got kicked in the face by them and he was screaming in our ear. they got way too close to the turtles and were screaming right next to them nonstop, and the turtle was clearly distressed as he kept trying to frantically breathe without getting run over. our guide asked him to please be quiet and he pretended like he didn’t speak english, but the guides said this is a recurring problem and that every other boat hates this boat because of how disrespectful they are. they completely ruined what should be a peaceful experience. please tell your guides to stop being so disrespectful and ruining others experience. there is no need to be screaming at a peaceful snorkel spot.

Our family had an amazing time on this snorkeling trip! We got to see giant sea turtles up close they’d surface for air now and then, and it was such a beautiful sight. One of the instructors was incredibly patient and kind with our daughter, who was scared to get in the water at first. With his gentle encouragement, she built up the courage and ended up loving the experience! The crew was fantastic, friendly and enthusiastic. One crew member even dove down to take GoPro pictures for us, which made the memories even more special. After snorkeling, we were treated to warm noodles and Pop-Tarts surprisingly the perfect little post snorkel treat! We also got some great entertainment on the ride back. Two crew members put on a stand-up comedy show Danny had us all laughing, and Jandi made delicious soup and brought such a warm and welcoming energy to the trip. The only downside was that the boat was a bit crowded, which made it hard to fully focus on snorkeling. I got bumped into a few times and even kicked in the head by other swimmers. A little more space would have made it even better. Despite that, it was still a fantastic and unforgettable experience great for families and anyone wanting a fun and scenic ocean adventure!

The tour operators changed both the tour time & meeting point arrangements at the last minute. We had to cancel through no fault of our own. We’ll be expecting a full refund from Viator.

Way way too many people murky water not like the add pictured it add 10 dollars for correction lens mask and 40 dollars for go pro camera not worth it.
