Wat Pho é conhecido como o "Templo do Buda Reclining". Não é apenas um dos maiores complexos de templos em Banguecoque, mas também um dos mais antigos, com origens que remontam ao século 16, muito antes de Banguecoque se tornar a capital da Tailândia. O templo é famoso por sua enorme estátua de Buda reclinada, que mede 46 metros de comprimento e é lindamente coberta de folhas de ouro. A estátua representa o Buda entrando no Nirvana e é uma das esculturas religiosas mais impressionantes da Tailândia. As solas dos pés do Buda são revestidas de desenhos complexos de mãe de pérola que descrevem símbolos sagrados do budismo. Wat Arun, também conhecido como o “Templo do Amanhecer”, é um dos templos mais icônicos e visualmente impressionantes de Banguecoque. Localizado na margem oeste do rio Chao Phraya, no histórico bairro de Thonburi, sua elegante silhueta sobe majestosa acima da água. O templo remonta ao período de Ayutthaya, mas ganhou destaque no final do século XVIII, quando o rei Taksin estabeleceu Thonburi como a capital do Sião após a queda de Ayutthaya. Segundo a lenda, o rei chegou aqui ao amanhecer, inspirando o nome do templo. Wat Arun é famosa por seu alto prang central em estilo Khmer cercado por quatro espinhos menores. Toda a estrutura é decorada com porcelana colorida e fragmentos de cerâmica que brilham na luz solar, criando um efeito de mosaico notável.
