We had a great experience. Manual Antonio park is fantastic and our guide (Jean Pierre) haa been great as well. I recomend it!
Gorgeous park, amazing tour guide. Jean Pierre was very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. He went above and beyond to ensure my group had a fantastic experience, including my mother in her wheelchair. He created a full experience even with that limitation and I would take another tour with him in a heartbeat. In addition, he was very helpful in suggestions of other amazing things to do while visiting this beautiful country.

Very friendly and friendly guide! Passionate about his work. Thank you!!
We are pleasured that you enjoyed with us this tour, pura vida!!
The park is very cute, it is advisable to do it with guide to be able to see animals that cannot be seen with the naked eye. The beach is very nice, you can see monkeys, iguanas and pelicans, among other animals. The only bad thing is that it closes at 3pm. Cannot be entered with aerosols or disposable bottles.
This was our second visit and I am ashamed to say I forgot to book ahead of time and fell for the parking scam. BUT they have gotten really, really good. The scammers wear official-looking uniforms and name tags and completely block the street. Plus, I forgot to book online ahead of time which you must do. You cannot buy tickets at the gate - something the park does a terrible job of telling people. The police in Quepos do ZERO to control the scammers. In fact, I think they like it that they control the tourists a little. We wasted an inordinate amount of time with this scam outfit and then had a very unpleasant and potentially dangerous scene with the parking "attendant" when we went to get our car at the end of the day. We did end up booking an official tour with a legitimate tour operator who, to be fair, the scammers introduced us to. We think this happened when our credit card company refused to pay the scammers. I want to shame the government of Costa Rica, the parks, the local police in Quepos and everyone else for allowing this level of crime to continue. Otherwise, we'd give it 5 stars because the tour was wonderful and the park is very nice. The beach is marvelous and the tour guides find little animals you'd never see otherwise. We saw a hummingbird building a nest thanks to the guide. We saw frogs that we'd never spot otherwise. We saw two fer-de-lance snakes, a lizard, a venomous spider, butterflies, dragonflies, multiple sloths (including one with a baby!) that we could never have spotted on our own.
We took a Biophelia tour with guide, Andres. He was very knowledgeable about the park history, the various animals—monkeys, sloths, snakes, bats and insects we saw. He is very ecology minded and still very excited about the critters he spotted, even though he’s been doing this for a very long time. (I think 11 years). We would not have been able to locate any of these things without his expertise, as they were all hidden. We highly recommend a tour, and specifically with Andres as your guide.
I’ll start by saying that Vivi, our tour guide was a delight and super amazing at her job. She is a well of knowledge. We did see sloths, lizards, monkeys, hummingbird nest, and snakes. But the amount of people that were there at the same time made this not our favorite activity. Apparently it was a slower day so I can only imagine what it is like when it’s at capacity. If you want to see wildlife then yes, you will probably see a bit and learn some useful tidbits along the way. If you want a peaceful and calm nature experience this is probably not the best place for you. The beach is very pretty and was a nice way to end the tour.
We paid over $1000 for 4 people. The tour was over an hour late ( booked with Toucan tours). We saw two bats, a small snake and a frog. No sloths, no monkeys. Park is just okay. The same jungle as the side of the road, except you are walking through trails. Would not reccomend.
We would not have seen much without a guide. We used Hector from Hectours Costa Rica and we were very pleased with his tour.
