Sasa was awesome! He made Pompeii come back to life! He knew everything about Pompeii. More importantly, he knew when to take us to certain sections of the town before the cruise ship hordes would have made waits incredibly long. He made sure to get our group in the shade as much as possible!. A tour like this goes from ok to great with a tour guide like Sasa!

It's worth doing a small group tour. Frankie was an amazing tour guide, he was knowledgable and very funny, sharing history in a way that is interesting to everyone. Finished the day with a private luncheon at a vineyard at the heels of Mt. Vesuvius. Only down side was having to wait for a car take us from Pompeii to the vineyard, but well worth it.
The tour itself was wonderful! Pompeii is a must-see. The easy pick-up and drop-off are wonderful. The guided tour allows you to see and understand the important highlights of Pompeii (although in 2 hours you can’t see it all). My only complaint is that the tour said 5-6 hours, and we were gone almost 9. Lots of waiting in between activities. Waiting 20 mins upon arrival to enter the park, waiting 45 mins after the tour to head to winery, waiting almost 30 mins for pickup after tasting. Make sure you plan for it!
We had such a fabulous experience! Pompeii is much bigger than I realized, and our guide, Sasa, was incredible. Without him, we wouldn't have understood what we were looking at, and we left feeling like we had seen the highlights and learned a lot about the city. It was also so convenient to have the driver pick us up and take us back to Positano. We would absolutely recommend this excursion!
Our tour guide, Francesco (Frankie) for Pompeii was friendly, funny and had great knowledge about Pompeii. We really enjoyed that part of our tour but the wine tasting that followed was disappointing. I would recommend the Pompeii portion of this trip without the wine tasting.
The highlight of our trip! Sasa gave an amazing tour of Pompeii, we learned so much. His knowledge of the site is amazing. After we enjoyed a tour and wine tasting at Bosco Dé Medici with Maddalena who gave us a tour of the beautiful vineyards. Then we enjoyed a scrumptious lunch and wine tasting with Nicoleta. The entire staff was so lovey it was a perfect day I will treasure.
Our driver Carmine was wonderful. Our tour guide is Pompeii was funny and knowledgeable. The wine tasting-lunch was the perfect ending.
The history of Pompeii was fascinating and I’m glad we had a tour guide to bring Pompeii to life. The winery and lunch were delicious with spectacular views. I only wish we had an hour to shop before our ride took off for our hotel.
We had the most amazing tour guide who lead us and educated us on Pompeii! The winery was outstanding! Bosco De’ Medici Winery had the best wine and one of my favorite meals of our Italy trip! We could not recommend more!
