We chose this tour after considering others, due to its start time (9:00 AM) to access the castle early. It was a great decision because our guide was both entertaining and informative, skillfully combining the historical and anecdotal aspects, with the castle as the focus of his explanations. He also provided us with very useful directions to continue the visit once the tour was finished. Thank you, Alberto!

The castle is wonderful, the explanation of the history behind it was quite complete, and with Leía's energy and kindness, it was spectacular.
The visit is something incredible, and with a guide like Maria, it makes this experience fabulous!!! A story that goes far beyond the place, telling us the history of Scotland over 2000 years, relating it to the history of the United Kingdom, and what was happening in Europe, up to our days. Before finishing the tour, she gave us some advice to stay and enjoy the museums, the chapel, and explore every corner of the Castle.
First of all, they moved our chosen time by 4 hours to gather as many people as possible (the listing states that at least 4 are needed, and we were already 3, but they canceled it anyway), it doesn't matter if when one is on vacation, they plan their days as they see fit. The 2-hour visit consists only of an explanation, partly on the meeting site and the rest in 4 points within the walls. After the brief and somewhat unenthusiastic explanation, one must explore on their own, so 2 hours are wasted when with a headset audio guide, one could have much more concrete and interesting explanations.
Maria Conte is an excellent guide who knows and communicates well, making you want the excitement to never end.
