Nossa jornada começa com uma parada em Bylis, uma das mais importantes antigas cidades ilirianas da Albânia, fundada no século 4 aC. Estrategicamente posicionado em cima de uma colina, Bylis mais tarde se tornou um importante centro urbano durante o período romano, com restos de muralhas da cidade, teatros e edifícios públicos ainda visíveis hoje. Além de sua história, Bylis oferece uma das vistas panorâmicas mais deslumbrantes do sul da Albânia, com vista para o vale do rio Vjosa e as colinas circundantes. Este ponto de vista paisagístico fornece uma excelente introdução à região e uma primeira parada perfeita antes de continuar nossa jornada em direção a Gjirokastër, listado pela UNESCO.
Chegada a Gjirokastër – Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO Seguimos em direção a Gjirokastër, um dos destinos culturais mais importantes da Albânia e Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO. Gjirokastër ganhou seu status da UNESCO devido à sua arquitetura excepcionalmente bem preservada da era otomana, casas de pedra com telhados de chapa, e seu papel como um exemplo vivo de uma cidade balcânica histórica que manteve seu caráter original por séculos.
Praça principal de Gjirokastra Chegue a Gjirokastra e explore a Praça Cerciz Topulli, nomeada em homenagem ao patriota albanês do século 19. Data do século XVII, este centro da era otomana era um centro de comércio, reuniões sociais e vida familiar. Hoje, suas ruas de pedra, lojas animadas e histórias locais oferecem um rico olhar sobre a história e a cultura vibrante da cidade.
Fortaleza de Gjirokastra – A Coroa da Cidade Caminhe pelo animado Old Bazaar para chegar à Fortaleza de Gjirokastra, situada no topo da primeira colina da cidade. Imbuída na lenda da princesa Argjiro, a fortaleza, renovada no século XIX, tem servido como fortaleza e prisão ao longo dos séculos. Hoje, oferece uma rica história e vistas panorâmicas das ruas montanhosas de Gjirokastra.

Amazing tour where you really have time to explore the areas and get to know more about the history. The guide Xhuljano was very knowledgeable and told us interesting facts about the area.
We had a great time visiting the Nivica Canyons and the Waterfall. Gjirokastra was an museum city indeed . A beautiful combination of historical sites and wonderful nature in just one day
Guillio was an excellent tour guide. He is from the Gjirokaster area originally so gave us really interesting insight into what it was like growing up there and what family life was like. He is very knowledgeable about history and provided an interesting tour of the castle and the Gjirokaster bazaar. We had a good lunch in a local restaurant sampling local specialties before heading to the Blue Eye. It was quite a long drive to/from Gjirokaster but Guillio made it seem much shorter chatting away too us.

Would 1000% recommend local friends Albania. Their planning, local in depth knowledge and patience is commendable. Skerdi and Albie were extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They were willing to answer all questions, take us to the best places, even made us hear local songs and took us to good restaurant!

The boy who accompanied us was very attentive, but he was not a professional guide and could not give us much historical information during the visit. Despite what is stated, the car was old and did not have air conditioning. The trip became long and uncomfortable.
We are very sorry to see this negative feedback for a tour that is our best seller and we have the most positive reviews and when our guide as always went an extra mile giving you some extra time on the beach and dealing with the locals reaction to rude words used by your party. Our guides are not historians but are certainly knowledgeable on the history of the places they guide for which they have been certified by the ministry of Tourism and Sports of Albania.
