Our driver Peter was very informative and friendly. We learned a lot of Corinth’s history that made me proud as a Greek American. I think many people will enjoy this tour.
Thank you for your wonderful 5* review, we truly appreciate it! We're delighted Peter made your journey through Ancient Corinth both informative and enjoyable. It's especially meaningful to hear the experience strengthened your connection to your Greek heritage. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another memorable journey through Greece.
This experience is worth every penny. What a blessing it was to have a day with Yannis. We deeply appreciate him sharing his wealth of knowledge with us. Each stop was informative and meaningful. Yannis went above and beyond to give us the very best experience we could possibly have. He gave us a box of cookies in the morning to snack on throughout the day while driving and he provided plenty of ice-cold water throughout the day. He even bought our daughter a box of cookies to celebrate her birthday, which was the day after our tour. It was the kindest gesture. If you have any interest in Paul, Biblical history, cultural history, or Greek mythology, you should take this tour. Yannis is an expert with a vast amount of knowledge and he is enjoyable to listen to because it is evident he is passionate about sharing this history with others.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. It means a great deal to hear how much you enjoyed your day with Yannis. He genuinely loves sharing Greece's history and always tries to make each tour personal and memorable. We're especially pleased that the small birthday surprise for your daughter made your family's day even more special. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Greece again soon!
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Ancient Greece Tours, and our guide, Tas, made the day unforgettable. His passion for Greek history, archaeology, and the life of the Apostle Paul brought every stop to life. He didn’t just show us the sites—he helped us understand their historical, cultural, and biblical significance in a way that was engaging, insightful, and easy to follow. Walking in the footsteps of Paul through Athens, Corinth, and Cenchreae made Scripture come alive in ways we had never experienced before. Tas’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling transformed what could have been a sightseeing tour into one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. If you’re looking for a tour that is historically rich, biblically insightful, and deeply inspiring, we cannot recommend Ancient Greece Tours and Tas highly enough. It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Greece, and a day we’ll never forget.
Dear Lisa, greetings from Athens!! Thank you for such a thoughtful review. We’re so pleased Tas made the journey through Athens, Corinth and Cenchreae so meaningful for you. Bringing the history and biblical significance of each place to life is exactly what he loves to do. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Greece one day.
Was not prepared for the impact of this incredible tour that Tas provided for us. My wife and I wanted to see ancient Corinth based on the recent study of Acts in the Bible. We had his undivided attention as it was just the 2 of us. Tas was incredible in providing so much detail for the surrounding area. So much rich history. Tas always made sure we were comfortable. Did not let an opportunity go by to share knowledge on something significant. The length of the tour was perfect and it covered so much. If you are looking for a very good “class” on ancient Corinth, for the money, this can’t be beat.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're delighted that your visit to Ancient Corinth was such a meaningful experience, especially in the context of your study of the Book of Acts. Tas will be thrilled to know his knowledge, passion, and personal attention made such a lasting impression. Thank you for choosing to tour with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Greece for another unforgettable journey.
We had a wonderful time on our tour of Corinth. Our driver and guide Bill picked our family up at our hotel near downtown and drove us to see the Corinth canal. A marvelous feat of engineering! We then went to visit the archeological site in Corinth and met up with our guide Vera (arranged for an additional fee, but well worth it). She gave us the history of the site, including the experience of the apostle Paul and the significance of his ministry there for the spread of Christianity. She was extremely knowledgeable and made the site much more understandable than simply wandering around the museum and the grounds by ourselves. After this, we went to the. According and climbed to the top to take in the view. Somewhat exhausting but worth it in the end! We then had the opportunity to have a late lunch to rest and cool off. Then, on the drive back, Bill took us to the port where the apostle Paul sailed for Ephesus. It was pretty amazing to stand in the ruins of a port where Paul caught a boat 2000 years ago we then headed back to the hotel with plenty of time to get dinner. All in all, a wonderful experience!
Hello David! hank you for your wonderful and detailed review! We're delighted you and your family had such an enjoyable day exploring Corinth. Bill and Vera will be thrilled to know they helped bring the history and biblical significance of the region to life. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another memorable journey through Greece. Thank you for booking with Ancient Greece Tours & Transfers!
This is a very simple rating. Absolutely a 5 star for our driver Peter. The tour was titled a ‘Private Biblical tour Ancient Corinth and Isthmus canal’. Peter is very knowledgeable of Apostle Paul’s biblical presence in Corinth and the locations he actually walked on. Quite humbling to think you stood where Paul stood so long ago. The Corinth canal is an engineering marvel. Just wait until you hear about how vessels were transported across the land prior to the canal. Many stops with educational discussions but the highlight was the Corinth acropolis. Massive. Much larger than Athens. And a super museum at its base. If you plan to hike up the acropolis be sure to wear proper walking footwear. The rocks are extremely slippery even in dry conditions. To end the day with an afternoon lunch, we dined on the rooftop of Gemelos Tavern. The pork gyro meat is to die for. No joke. We had traditional Greek salad. So much better than the states. The view of the acropolis is amazing and will be remembered forever. Once again, highly recommend this tour, and Peter is fantastic.
Thank you for such a fantastic review! We're delighted you enjoyed your day with Peter and that the history, biblical sites, and stunning views made such an impression. It's great to hear you also enjoyed lunch at Gemelos Tavern -a favorite of ours too! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Greece again soon. Thanks again for the 5 stars, much apprecaited.
Our guide, Tas, made this trip so memorable and enjoyable. He picked us up on time from our hotel, provided plenty of cold water and snacks, made sure we were comfortable and conversed with us the whole time. He did not set a time limit on the tour, which lasted nearly 10 hours. Tas is very knowledgeable about Corinth as he actually lives nearby and within sight of one of the stops in Cenchrae. Tas is also well versed in the Bible as each location he took us to he gave us the Biblical references of what took place there. He designs the tour to accommodate both those of the Christian faith as well as the non believer. As a Christian, he was able to answer other questions with deeper meaning and discussion as they were asked from us. He took us to about 10 places, including the canal and gave us detailed information at each about what happened, who was there, the meaning, and allowed for questions. One nice touch is he took pictures of us at each stop and sent them to us a day after the tour was complete with references and extra detail for further research. I am unsure if he does this for every tour, but he gave us a gift, a book about Paul and Corinth at the end of the tour. There was not a single dull moment and the conversation with him was truly amazing. I could talk to Tas all week and not get bored. He is a very personable individual and actually cares that you have an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend Tas and this tour to anyone considering it. It is defiantly worth it.

We had a wonderful day with Peter. He was friendly and thoughtful in taking care of us. We were picked up right on time just outside our AirBNB and the drive to Corinth was filled with a little friendly chit chat and a lot of very interesting history. Getting the overview of the history on the way to the various stops was a great set up to seeing the sights. Having a guide definitely helped us appreciate and understand what we were seeing. We felt at ease, not rushed, and taken care of all day. Thank you for a memorable experience.

From Athens, it was a little over an hour drive. Yannis was the tour leader. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much. We saw amazing history. Information on Paul and why he spent his time in Corinth. Corinth is such a beautiful place with such importance in history. We could not imagine a better guide than Yannis, truly amazing and highly recommended!
