Perhaps a bit commercial as they try to sell tequila but I suppose it helps support the village exhibits. Some stone carvings as well as a hut are in display. A brief cacao demonstration. Tequila tasting and sales. Some are very good.
The guide did an excellent job of explaining Mayan culture while immersing us in real experiences with ceremony, ritual and material culture such as plant uses for food and utensils.
We toured with Taz Miranda for our 35th wedding anniversary, and had such a nice day. We visited Wet Wendy's, did a tequila tasting, and was educated with the process of making it. We visited the Mayan ruins and had a good meal. On our last stop, we had the best mojito ever. Very nice relaxing tour
Nice , but I check my credit card after the vacaciones and I noticed that the tequila company charged more than they said..be aware I bought a tequila bottle 200 dollars and they charged me 232...

We had a great time at the village learning a lot of interesting things about the history, culture, food and customs of the Mayan people. In addition to this we had a great tour guide that had an excellent sense of humor and all the people in the village did a great job demonstrating different aspects of the Maya while also putting on an amazing performance with dancing and music. The tequila tasting afterwards was also good and that’s coming from someone that isn’t really a fan of liquor. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
What a amazing experience, Armando our tour guide was great very knowledgeable and funny. The dancing horses were really something to see, the talent of the rider was amazing. Highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Mayan living history tour.
Came here with a group of girlfriends and we had an absolute blast! Our tour guide at the the Mayan village was knowledgeable, full of energy, and made sure we were having a good time. We made tamales, drank corn and honey water (delicious), and made chocolate. Everything tasted incredible. The tequila tour right after was the perfect way to end. Everyone was so nice even down to our driver Gerardo, he was such a sweetheart.
Despite obstacles including our cruise ship arriving late and our tour guide being very delayed due to being in a car accident, we still had a fabulous time. We were flexible, and so were they. We were treated to a stop at a chocolate factory (so good!), a visit to a tequila tasting place, and then a really amazing experience at a Maya village education park. Our Trip Advisor guide, Karima, was funny, knowledgeable, and so warm. She felt like family to us. Our Maya village guide (Tum-something I’ve forgotten) was super! He was hilarious, informative, and a sweetheart. We learned so much that day. I would highly recommend this tour to any adult!
