Kompong Kleang é uma das aldeias flutuantes no lago Tonle Sap. O lago Tonle Sap é o maior lago de água doce do Sudeste Asiático. Na estação seca, o lago contém 2.700 km2. Na estação das chuvas, o tamanho do lago aumenta apenas 3 vezes em relação à estação seca. existem mais de 200 temperos de peixe. Tem uma conexão muito espacial com o rio Mekong durante a estação das chuvas, é um reservatório para restaurar a água do rio Mekong. Existem 5 províncias ao redor do lago, províncias de Siem Reap, Battambong, Pusat, Kompong Chhnang e Kompong Thom. todas estas 5 províncias têm um potencial muito bom para a cultura do arroz porque o principal abastecimento de água vem do lago. Na estação das chuvas, você pode viajar de barco para a capital, Phnom Penh.

Fantastic morning spent visiting the Kompong Kleang floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. Excellent service provided by Ra and his friend our driver. Ra is a fantastic tour guide. His English is very good and fluent. Touring with him is a history lesson in itself. He has vast knowledge of not only the Temples, but Siem Reap and surrounding areas. The beauty of touring with him is the hidden gems, where locals hang out, he will take you to. The van is large, clean and I always feel safe! The Floating Hut Restaurant is so relaxing after a visit to Kulen Mountain so, make sure to stop! Speaking of stopping, when or if you see something of interest, he will pull over so you can shop, taste local street food and find new off the beaten track delights.
