Absolutely worth experiencing! I went solo and had a great time exploring at my own pace. The views of Boston were incredible, especially seeing the city from so high up. There were plenty of opportunities for photos, and I never felt awkward being there alone. I would definitely recommend View Boston to both visitors and locals who want to experience the city from a completely different perspective.
Similar to One World Observatory in NYC with a better view, you can see the full view of Boston in here, there are several levels and there is one level you can walkout and high glass walls surrounded to ensure safety and with a bar there. There was also a light model area show which is interesting. They used modern X-Ray walk through detectors for everyone to enter pass by and the intention seems make it less visible so that visitors may not realize them at least right away, but this new technology only looks nice but actually less visitors friendly than the traditional airport detectors as contain detect errors, turned on cellular phones etc. will triggered alarms at no reason and traditional detectors generally will not have those problems, so the latest tech may be very stylish but lack of smart detection and accuracy, as such may cause inconvenience to the visitors. Everyone welcomes safety check but the equipment needs to be accurate. This observatory looks very safe as security patrol walk on the levels, plus detectors at the entrance, the security level setting seems even higher than One World Observatory.
We had a great time! The view is spectacular and the displays were informative! Highly recommend!
It was amazing experience so thrilling! The view is so spectacular! You really need to go up there on a good day a clear day! We went up there with no clouds in the sky.
It was okay. High price for the experience I probably wouldn’t do it again. It would be nice if they had a map with landmarks or something to know where things are located.
I have come to View Boston at least 10 times since it opened. This time was totally disappointing and overpriced! 1) They have removed the markers and observation scanners that tell newcomers what they are viewing on the top enclosed floor. Families used to be able to plan their itinerary for visiting Boston! No more. 2) The worst part was the three dimensional landscape view of the city with video scenes and music. The projectors were not all working. It went dark several times and the video was sparsely Boston! Too many fillers like polka dots and clouds. I remember when this presentation went through all four seasons in Boston with GORGEOUS photos of all parts of Boston. And there were exciting photos of Boston’s professional sports teams! This time it was a watered down version full of filler images. 3) There used to be guides (for a fee) and you could be guided through the top floor - for newbies who are interested in the architecture and history of how the skyline evolved over time. Thank goodness it was a beautiful sunny summer day and we could enjoy the weather.
We visited View Boston on Saturday 12th July around 6pm. We paid £24 each. We had seen this attraction reviewed on youtube. Youtubers were seen relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view. Before we paid our money, we were not told that the restaurant/cafe was closed and there was no where we could relax with a drink. We were not told that part of the outdoor deck area was cut off and reserved, that we could not walk all the way round the outdoor deck. There were signs up saying "Welcome Vip Group and the name of the company" I turned a corner on the outdoor deck and I was must have been a good 20m from the sectioned off VIP area. Someone in the VIP started shouting at me. I was just stunned. I'd paid to enjoy this attraction. I wasn't a beggar or hustler. I just turned around. Perhaps section off all that side, so VIP guests dont see the tourists. On leaving the deck. I was waiting for my partner, a security guard shouted at me, this area is closed for VIP's. I was no where near the entrance. I was just waiting for my partner. This was a horrible experience. No one wants to pay £48 to be shouted at twice and a reduced experience. You need to be fair and honest to tourists. The self pay machines were broken. A member of staff took payment for our tickets. He had the chance to tell us "The cafe, restaurant and the deck outside it, are closed, due to a vip event and there is no where to buy a drink and relax". He didnt.
Been to Boston many times, never knew about this. A totally fun and memorable experience. We will definitely be coming back
What a phenomenal experience. Wonderful views, beautiful sunset, interesting things you find out about Boston and the area and I like the gift shop. Getting there was very easy as it's accessible by taking the Green Line to Prudential. Copley Square and Back Bay Station are not that far away. Make sure your phone is charged or you have a camera. On a good day, you can see as far away as western MA and northern NH. The Blue Hills, Fenway Park, Logan Airport, Boston Harbor and Cambridge are just a few of the many sites you will see. I paid $29 to get in, but the prices do slightly vary at times. From the ride in the elevator, to the sights and sounds from up above, the atmosphere is fantastic. I stayed for about two hours this visit. There were a lot of people, but the crowd was moving along. There's ample space to move around. There were a few groups when I was there. It's definitely a great experience for children as I have seen the looks on kids faces. Other pictures I took are posted on Google.
Saturday July 11, 2026. Floor 51 , with the bar and outside deck, was shut down, closed for a private party. I appreciate that someone organized an event for friends and family. The rest of us should have been forewarned, or tickets discounted 75%, since 3/4 of the benefit was not available to us
