Jurij and his son were wonderful guides for the day. The castles were interesting to see and we really enjoyed seeing the Hill of Crosses. I highly recommend this tour. It’s a long day but worth it.
Had a fantastic day on this tour. Norman was a brilliant guide and ensured the day ran at a perfect speed with no rushing. He recommended a beautiful restaurant for lunch to try the local Lithuanian cuisine which was lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone and would jump at the chance to do another tour with Norman.
Amazing tour with a great guide. No time limit on visits so can feel relaxed whilst exploring. Informative and fun. Couldn’t recommend this trip highly enough if you’re visiting Riga.
The trip with Normunds Heincis from Buysocial.org was just amazing. I travel a lot around the world and he is unbelievable great. Super professional, super friendly and doing everything to make a fanatic day. A must book if you go to Riga. Oliver
Superb tour, very friendly people! Many things to see and do. Family friendly, strongly recommended!
A very informative and relaxed tour. The local guide (Edwards) was really friendly and could not do enough for us to make sure we got the most out of each of the venues visited. Rundale Palace, and its gardens in particular, are absolutely lovely! Highly recommended!
The tour guide Normand made the tour fantastic.. He was so enthusiastic about his city and very informative. Normand gave us two or three options for each destination and gave us so much background to each place. He gave us the opportunity to make choices so we felt the tour was more personal. We felt like we were travelling with a friend. We couldn’t recommend Normand’s tour more highly. We throughly enjoyed seeing all three of the sights and Normand’s company.
My wife and I booked this trip with Normunds Heincis and we would strongly recommend it. Normunds was professional and knowledgeable. Beyond the 3 stated destinations, he also took us through some parts of the Riga suburbs that we would not have seen. The car was very nice and comfortable and Normunds tailors the trip to your desires. One thing I'd point out is the main chance for food/lunch is at Rundale Palace, so either plan extra time for that or bring food to eat on the road.
It was a long day, interesting in parts, although it was more like getting a taxi to three locations, no interaction from the driver to speak of, although a good recommendation for lunch, and 2 hours on a long straight road to the "Hill" is a bit of a challenge, we did see a roundabout on the way! Bauska was the last stop and fortunately the best was kept to last.
Dear Derek. Thank you very much for your feed back. In hot season we employ new guides and Matiss was one of them. He is art student and this was his first tour. We though we prepared thin well, but not. We will take him of guiding while he can deliver our level of services.
My colleague and dear friend Dave and I did an all-day tour with Normunds, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what a joyful, kind, soulful, and deeply attuned person he is. From the moment we met him, we felt completely taken care of—not in a scripted, commercial way, but in the hands of someone who genuinely loves what he does. Throughout the day, Normunds offered us a perfect blend of structure and spontaneity. He crafted multiple options as we went, adjusting timing and stops based on our energy and interests. He clearly knows every person and hidden corner along the way, and because of that, he created moments for us that felt truly unique—like we were being let in on a secret. His storytelling was vivid and full of humor and heart, balanced beautifully with space for quiet reflection and independent exploration. Normunds speaks excellent English and reads his guests with remarkable intuition. He shaped the tone of the day with such grace—knowing when to go deep, when to laugh, when to step back. It was, in every sense, a peak experience. Dave and I have done many of these one-day tours throughout different parts of Europe, and this one was truly in a class of its own. We walked away with not just beautiful memories, but the rare feeling that we had been on a journey with someone who genuinely wanted to gift us the best of his home. Thank you, Normunds—for your warmth, wisdom, and presence. We’ll carry this day with us for a long time. For those thinking about booking with him: just do it! you wont regret it---plus hes great with taking pictures too!
