Our guide Morena was fabulous. We've spent almost 10 weeks in Verona over three years and this was the best thing we have done in the city yet! This was a very interesting tour, looking at some Roman archaeological sites beneath the city with actual scientists who worked on the projects. It’s a great way to experience more about the history of Verona.

The tour takes you to two underground sites in the city where you can see excavated Roman ruins. Our guide was an archaeologist who actually worked on one of the sites so was extremely well qualified and knowledgeable about both the sites and all the relevant history in general, plus a delightful person! This tour was fascinating and absolutely well worth booking.

This experience was as interesting as it was enriching, and even if you are not an expert in archaeology, everything was clear. It takes place first under the square where the meeting is held, then in the city in different places, and the tour lasts a good hour and a half. The two speakers are passionate and fascinating. I recommend it.

Amazing experience of real history of Verona from a real expert. We learned so much I only wish we had done the tour first. Wonderful to hear from someone who is still excited by what she does after 26 years. She was so much more knowledgeable than just a guide but also made it interesting. I would highly recommend it!

We loved this experience! The guides were so incredibly knowledgeable and the content was so interesting. I cannot believe that we were the only ones on this tour! I will admit that it that it would have been nice to have done this tour earlier in the day (A big suggestion for the company would be to consider all tour times in the later summer should be in the earlier morning - August was brutal to be out and about after 13:00) but I do not blame the guides for that. Even in the heat, they persisted and made the tour very engaging. I would suggest this tour to anyone wanting to know more about the history of Verona!!
