Enjoyable whale watching tour in Vancouver. We boarded one of their comfortable boats at Granville Island for an approximately 5 hour trip to see orcas, humpbacks and seals. The boat has lots of seating inside and outside and there are non alcoholic drinks available. Crew does a really good job explaining safety issues as well as explaining all about the whales and other sea life. The scenery is also spectacular as the boat travels between the mainland and Vancouver Island. The ride was smooth on the day we went so motion sickness wasn’t a problem. The boats are restricted by law from getting too close to whales so we were watching from several hundred meters away. We saw several groups including some whales near the shore of Stanley Park on our return. This activity is a nice way to spend an afternoon enjoying seeing and learning about these great creatures as well as seeing the beautiful coastline.

Tobin, Wilma, Luke, Roman and Belu were amazing! All very knowledgable and friendly. Our tour was super lucky with seeing both species of whales, which doesn’t happen often. We also saw sea lions and bald eagles. All around great tour and would do it again!

We highly recommend the Prince of Whales tour. It is for sure the best tour! The boat is bigger and very steady so we did not at all feel sick. The ride was smooth and we stayed dry. There were options to sit outside on any side or inside behind clear glass to block the wind. The staff was incredible. Captain Roman spent the right amount of time stopping with each viewing and the ride itself was smooth, beautiful and scenic. Luke caught all the best moments on picture and video and Prince of Whales sent the videos and photos of everything we saw to keep for free. Fawkes, Dan and Jake were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They answered questions and provided interesting information. They took time to check on us. We even had complimentary hot chocolate. We had the best time! And saw amazing whales, sea lions and bald eagles! My only advice is to book the tour directly with Prince of Whales if possible. We booked it through Viator and had more difficulty locating the place and contacting for help with the information Viator gave us. The phone number Viator gave us went to some health insurance line. We called Prince of Whales directly and easily got the information and help finding them we needed.

My husband and I had an excellent excursion. Whale watching has been on our bucket list for a very long time and this experience did not disappoint. The entire boat crew made this such an unforgettable memory. The boat was clean and comfortable with plenty of viewing options from inside and outside the boat. The naturalists, Fox and Dan were engaging and informative and also made it fun! We would highly recommend.

We were absolutely spoilt, seeing humpbacks, orcas and sea lions. And we would like to give a shout out to all of the extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides who were positioned throughout the boat giving extraordinary insight into the personality and behaviour of the creatures that we encountered yesterday. Amongst others we witnessed a group of orcas sharing food, a mother humpback sleeping with a calf in tow, and a group of orca playing with a humpback. We were in Dan's section mainly and he was brilliant, answering all of our questions with knowledge insight and enthusiasm. As I'm sure goes for all of the companies watching the Whales here in Vancouver, these guys have tremendous respect for their role in assisting with conserving these beautiful animals and it was heartening to learn some of the measures that they take to ensure that they play their part. Something that was really striking was the way they 'knew' many of the individual whales we encountered and could give anecdotes about each one. This was a truly memorable experience for our family.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable wildlife experience! We joined the Zodiac tour from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with Captain Michael, and what an incredible day it turned out to be. Our tour even ran a little longer because we were lucky enough to see a pod of 8–9 orcas and no fewer than 3 whales! Of course, this is wildlife—you can’t predict nature or ask these magnificent animals to pose for your camera. If you don’t see whales or orcas on your trip, that’s simply how nature works and certainly not the fault of Captain Michael or the crew. What you can expect is a passionate, professional team that does everything they can to give you the best possible experience while respecting the animals and their environment. Captain Michael was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made the trip both exciting and informative. Prince of Whales is an outstanding organization, and this tour was without a doubt one of the highlights of our visit to Victoria. Highly recommended!

The whale watching experience was AMAZING! Our tour guide Tobin great enthusiasm for whales! We were able to see whales within the first 30 min of our excursion. The whole crew Fox, Dan, Luke and the captain Roman were great!! Would book again!

The most amazing experience run by an amazing team. Captain Roman, First Mate/photographer Luke, Dan, Fawkes and Jake. Jake was the guide for our half of the boat and his, friendliness, knowledge and experience just made the trip for us. We saw Orca, Humpback, Sealions, Seals and Bald Eagles. Boat which holds 98 people but theses are smaller groups of around 30 people. No crowding, no having to grab a space and stay there. Freedom to walk to wherever the sightings are. Jake takes photos and videos so all you have to do is marvel at it all.If you're thinking of going on a trip, go with these guys. You won't be disappointed! Thank you so much!
