For my milestone birthday, I spent a few wonderful days in Valencia with several guests. A special highlight of our stay was the guided tour of the old town with Descubre Valencia. We were already excellently taken care of by Amparo in advance. The preparation of the tour, the advice, and the entire organization were excellent and contributed significantly to everything running perfectly. I would like to expressly thank Amparo for the friendly support and professional guidance during the planning. Our tour guide Ana subsequently led us through the historic old town of Valencia with great competence, enthusiasm, and a lot of charm. The tour was excellently designed and offered a perfect mix of history, culture, and exciting background information. We were particularly impressed by the visit to the beautiful Church of St. Nicolás with its impressive frescoes, as well as the visit to the famous Silk Exchange, La Lonja de la Seda. Thanks to Ana's lively and interesting explanations, the history and significance of these extraordinary places were brought to life for us in a special way. Our guests were also thrilled, and the tour was described by everyone as one of the highlights of our stay in Valencia. For anyone visiting Valencia who wants to not just see the city but really get to know it, we can unreservedly recommend Descubre Valencia and especially Ana. A heartfelt thank you to Amparo for the excellent preparation and advice, as well as to Ana for this unforgettable tour of Valencia.

We enjoyed our walking tour of Valencia’s old town. We learned a lot about the history of the area and had details pointed out we never would have noticed or understood without the guide. The only negative thing was that we were a mixed group of both English and Italian even though we booked an English tour. However the guide did a wonderful job juggling both and making sure both groups got all the information in the language they understood. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re stopping in Valencia and you’d like to understand more about the local culture and history of the area!

On June 9, a group of friends from different parts of the world took the City Tour of the center of Valencia with Amparo de Discover Valencia. For everyone it was the first time in the city and we were very happy with the experience, The explanations of Amparo were clear and very enjoyable and the pace of the perfect tour, passing through the most striking and important parts of the old town. I recommend it 100%. Thank you very much Amparo!

Basic overview of the old town. We signed up for English speaking tour, but half our group spoke Spanish, so guide spoke in Spanish to them, then in English to us, which was ok, but took more time. I thought we would have time to enter the venues, but we didn't go inside any of them. We weren't able to enter the cathedral and see the holy chalice. We did see a couple of things that weren't on the itinerary: the Ceramics Museum and El Micalet Tower. Guide just pointed out the post office from across the square. We ended at the market, instead of the Plaza de L'Ajuntament. Tour was just ok.
Good afternoon, it is important to know that we need a minimum number of people (10) to provide a guide for each language, depending on the demand and reservations we adapt the tour. On the other hand, the purchased tour is all exterior, it does not include entrances to monuments, so even if it is done in only one language, as is done in most cases we explain everything from the outside, since the price of the tour does not include entrances, but we always give recommendations to see in your free time. The tour itself was fine, but the meeting point instructions were vague. There was only "Meet in Placa Dels Furs." with no mention of how to identify our guide. We arrived 45 minutes early to find approximately 500 people at that location. We sent 2 messages to the tour company, receiving NO reply! We finally located our guide 5 minutes after the tour was to have started. She said "I was over there." They held the tour back waiting for us when they could have simply answered our messages OR phoned us! They had our Spanish phone. Just do better!!

The guide always arrives 15 minutes before the tour to receive the clients, if we do not answer the messages it is because we are busy, that day we had several groups and languages, however in the voucher you have a contact telephone number to call that the guide always has, for The easiest thing would have been to call directly. Booking directly with Marie Antoinette, an Italian from Sassari stationed in Valencia, I was able to have interesting news and goodies about the medieval center of Valencia. The tour of about 3 hours takes place in the major monuments of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Serrano towers, the churches, the two markets Colon and Centrale, the monumental squares with entrance to an unknown wagon depot with huge characters like Viareggio. Cost 20 euros well spent with lots of information and tips about Valencia.
