Lesley at Silk Road Travel arranged a 5D 4N Urumqi, Tianchi, Nanshan and Turpan tour for me, spouse and my elderly father. The planning was flawless; our guide Victor was incredible. He spoke Mandarin and fluent English with us. Victor knew his history and culture, and gave us great insight into Xinjiang life. What set him apart was his attentiveness to my elderly father. Victor made sure there was time for toilet breaks (!), looked after/accompanied him when my dad was tired at some of the tourist sights. I can't say enough good things about his service… really made our trip memorable, educational and fun.
When I first booked it, I had doubt. Thinking I might made a big mistake or is this legit? Until D-day came. It turns out to be legit and very well organized. I can't thank you enough for the wonderful journey and amazing experience. Xinjiang is the most beautiful place during winter. Big thank you to Leah for customizing our tour perfectly. Our tour guide and our drivers. Do I recommend it? 100% YES!!! I will definitely come back again to the same tour operator.
