O massacre de Srebrenica, também conhecido como genocídio de Srebrenica, foi o genocídio de julho de 1995 de mais de 8.000 bósnios, principalmente homens e meninos, em e ao redor da cidade de Srebrenica durante a Guerra da Bósnia. Os assassinatos foram perpetrados por unidades do Exército Sérvio da Bósnia da República Srpska (VRS), sob o comando de Ratko Mladić. A cidade de Srebrenica está localizada a cerca de duas horas e meia da cidade de Sarajevo. As vítimas encontradas e identificadas estão descansando no cemitério Memorial. Uma vez que visitamos o Centro Memorial Potocari, continuamos nossa jornada para a cidade de Srebrenica. Uma vez que o líder industrial na área é agora uma cidade fantasma. Srebrenica também é o local para o almoço, pois não há muitos restaurantes nas proximidades do Centro Memorial Potocari.

Kenan was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best possible experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his local knowledge really added something special to the trip. He took the time to explain the places we visited, answered all our questions and made us feel completely comfortable throughout. He was punctual, patient and incredibly helpful, and we never felt rushed at any point. What really stood out was the personal attention he gave us. It felt much more like travelling with a knowledgeable local friend than simply having a guide. His warmth, professionalism and attention to detail made the whole experience memorable. A visit to Srebrenica is essential to understand what happened there in July 1995. You visit the memorial and the interpretation center-museum, located in the old warehouses where the Dutchbat troops were stationed, in Potočari, right in front of the memorial. All the documentary information about those tragic events is there. Regarding the visit, there is a flaw in what is offered versus reality: it is true that they pick you up and drop you off at the hotel (in our case, Kenan was the guide). But no water or snacks are offered, nor were we in a vehicle with a Wi-Fi connection, just as is advertised. In short, the visit is a must so as not to forget how far human evil can go.
Great tour, very emotional and informative. A must when in Bosnia! Kenan was an amazing guide. He answered all our questions and even gave us recommendations on where to go in Sarajevo. Highly recommended!

Keenan was a very considerate and knowledgable host. He answered any questions we had fully. It’s quite a difficult trip but we felt it was important to be aware and pay our respects to the fallen.
The museum was located at the former UN Dutch Battalion Headquarters. The exhibition is well designed. Worth a visit if you are interested to learn about the atrocities that took place in July 1995. A special thanks to our guide Kenan, who is very helpful and happy to answer all our questions.
It was a great experience, with good knowledge from the tour guide. I did have to contact the tour operator to confirm my pick-up location. Overall, a recommended trip.
