Um dia no Pont du Gard, em Nîmes e em Orange

⚠️ Novo veículo a partir de março de 2026! Olá, caro visitante, meu nome é Arnaud e serei seu guia local nesta magnífica Provença. Entre os 5 passeios que ofereço, hoje levo você aos monumentos romanos de Pont du Gard, Nîmes e Orange. O passeio começará em Nîmes com uma breve parada em frente à Maison Carrée, um antigo templo romano, antes de seguirmos para a visita guiada com áudio pela Arena de Nîmes. Nota: De novembro a março, será realizado apenas um passeio a pé pela cidade velha de Nîmes, para visitar os principais monumentos. Em seguida, faremos uma parada no Pont du Gard para um piquenique com produtos locais de fazendas da região (somente de abril a outubro), e depois passearemos ao redor do Pont du Gard para apreciar as vistas magníficas deste monumento. Por fim, iremos para Orange para uma parada no Arco do Triunfo e uma visita guiada com áudio ao majestoso Teatro Antigo. Nota: de novembro a março, o circuito funcionará no sentido inverso.

Itinerário
Após 45 minutos de carro de Avignon, uma parada para fotos em frente à Maison Carrée em Nîmes, um antigo templo romano dedicado aos netos do imperador Augusto. Em seguida, uma caminhada de 15 minutos até a arena de Nîmes.
Visita guiada com áudio às esplêndidas arenas de Nîmes, construídas por volta do ano 100 d.C., inspiradas no Coliseu de Roma. Em seguida, uma caminhada de 15 minutos para voltar ao carro e cerca de 30 minutos de carro até a Pont du Gard. Nota: a visita às Arenas não está incluída entre novembro e março. Durante esse período, iremos apenas passear pela cidade para observar os principais monumentos.
Após um piquenique de uma hora com vista para a Pont du Gard (disponível apenas de abril a outubro), segue-se uma caminhada ao redor da magnífica e imponente Pont du Gard, que fazia parte de um aqueduto romano de 52 quilômetros de extensão para abastecer Nîmes com água. Foi construído por volta do ano 50 d.C. Em seguida, são 30 minutos de carro até Orange.
Parada para fotos no Arco do Triunfo em Orange, com audição de gravações de áudio que recontam a história do monumento. Em seguida, são 10 minutos de carro até o Teatro Antigo.
Visita guiada com áudio ao majestoso teatro antigo construído por volta de 20 a.C. Em seguida, são cerca de 30 minutos de carro de volta ao ponto de partida em Avignon.

Very nice trip. Pont Du Gard was the highlight but Nimes and Orange are also good. Arnaud was very helpful.

Great guide. Well planned day that covered a lot. Loved the Pont du Gard and Orange Theatre best. Authentic lunch but a bit light. Bit squashed with 6 people plus Arlo the guide in the car on a hot day. Overall enjoyed the day. Good value.

Very personalized tour of only 3 guests. The tour guide was very interested in making the tour as enjoyable as possible. The picnic lunch was a pleasant addition to the trip to Pont du Gard. The locations visited were amazing and informative. Loved the tour!
This tour offered some of the best of the best Roman antiquities with the bonus of Provence views! We thought Arnaud laid out the itinerary for Orange, Nîmes and the Pont du Gard perfectly. We could not have accomplished these logistic ourselves nor enjoyed his history lessons along the way. The Arch, Theatres and Amphitheatres were all quite amazing to see. The 2000 year old La Maison Carrée was beautiful. Our lovely picnic at Pont du Gard was lovely and so "Very French"!! Highly recommended.

The sights were worth seeing but the mode of transport was limited and not comfortable. A fairly small car with 6 people and we were stuck in the back with no leg or feet room or much air circulation.
Hello, Thank you for your review and for noticing that I am alone in the company and I have built this business from scratch without any financial aid from the French and European organizations. So you understand why I couldnt’ buy a bus or a van after only 1 year of work. But thanks to your help, I will try to buy something bigger in 1 year or 2, except if the goal of your review is to block people to book my tour and to avoid me to live decently. Anyway, this is not a small car (maybe for your country but here in France we don’t consider it as a small car but a 7-seat car for families). For air circulation in the car, there is something called « window », and guess what, it’s possible to open it! And it’s also possible to ask for more air conditioning. I’ve never bite someone who asked for more air… I mean, not yet! However, you said that the sights were interesting. You should have talked about it instead of developing the negative things (according to what you think but it’s subjective and it’s not what the majority of my clients think). Regards.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with our amazing guide, Arnaud. This tour included all the places on our "must see" list. The added bonus was the lovely picnic lunch with all locally sourced foods. I highly recommend his tours!!
