The suggested drive time is just that…the driving only. We only stopped at a couple of the areas and it was 3/4 of our day. Could easily be a couple days if visitors stopped to eat or explored the areas more than we did
Content of the tour was interesting, and we discovered a few new spots in SD, but the tech synchronization was super glitchy, dropping when we went under highways, near tall buildings or simply taking turns. We did take the precautions of turning off our VPN, allowing-location-always to the dedicated app, and ultimately one of us drove while the other followed our location on the app map, so we could know when we went off route. A number of times the app simply lost our location leaving us driving randomly in San Diego with no directions, no clue of our location - we used another maps app to resume the route. Turned out to be an unnecessary stressful, occasionally dangerous and unpleasant experience. We would definitely not recommend.
The directions are late. Sometimes you are at the intersection when she tells you to turn. And even though, in the beginning, she tell you if you get off course she will let you know she never does. Also when she starts to talk it cuts off half the first word, instead of saying right turn all you hear is "ght" or left is "ft". It can get very confusing when your trying to navigate through traffic. I wouldn't recommend this app.
First day we tried the app shut down after about an hour and we could not get it to restart. Tried again another day and it worked fine.
There are a limited number of times you can stop and start the app. We stopped to look around and the app said I had used it all up by the first few places.
Hi there, This shouldn't have been an issue, you should be able to stop and restart the tour as often as you like. Are you sure that you downloaded the tour your purchased and not just the preview? You can preview the first three stops plus one more for all of our tours, so might this have been the tour you were listening to? Best, Helene
This tour was way better than I expected. Synced to your gps, it provided timely info as you drove, and ability to go at your pace with opportunities for extended stops along the way. Our original tour was cancelled last minute, so this was our only other option but we got to see and learn about all the key sites for a fraction of the price.
Excellent stories about the local area. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Loved the emphasis on the beaches and history
Well done. Good narration, good navigation instructions. Took us to interesting places we didn’t know existed.
What a bargain. If you have a car, this is a definite must. I had not been to San Diego since the 70's, and then only for a day. This guided tour of the area was exactly what I was looking for. It took me on a complete easy-to-follow tour of the entire area accompanied by an informative narrative. You can go at your own pace, exlpore any area when you want for as long as you want. I highly recommend
I can only recommend to anyone who travels with their own car! Good tour to all the sights of San Diego. At your own pace, you stop where you like (in the US the parking situation is usually easier than in other countries). The tour is easy to follow and you can also board from the road (there is the possibility to “find” the tour again). There is detailed information about the sights, from him also on the way, which you can (if you want) partly also deepen! For the price -unbeatable!
