A característica importante do Wat Lokayasutharam é uma enorme imagem de Buda reclinada, chamada Phra Bhuddhasaiyart, que fica voltada para o leste. Foi construído de tijolos e cimento no estilo de arte do Médio Período de Ayutthaya. Tem 37 metros de comprimento e 8 metros de altura. Há outras impressionantes Imagens do Buda Reclinado em Ayutthaya, mas esta parece ser a maior.

Wat Mahathat foi um dos mais importantes templos de Ayutthaya. Ele consagrou relíquias de Buda e foi a sede do Patriarca Supremo do Budismo e, portanto, o centro do budismo no Reino de Ayutthaya.
Em 1957, a cripta do Wat Ratchaburana foi saqueada e muitos artefatos preciosos, como tabuletas votivas, regalias reais de ouro, gemas e imagens de Buda foram roubados. Os ladrões foram capturados e alguns dos tesouros foram recuperados. Um ano depois, o Departamento de Belas Artes iniciou a escavação e a restauração do templo. O museu é nomeado após Chao Sam Phraya, rei de Ayutthaya no século XV. São exibidos vários milhares de itens, incluindo imagens de Buda, tabletes votivas, artefatos de ouro e outros tesouros recuperados das criptas de vários templos.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram foi construído em 1630 pelo rei Prasat Thong. Foi um dos maiores monumentos do reino de Ayutthaya. O rei construiu o templo como um meio para ganhar o mérito budista e como um memorial para sua mãe. Suas cinzas estão consagradas em dois quadrados chedis flanqueando o ubosot no lado leste do templo.
