Well, we missed it! Although we were there 15 minutes early, I had neglected to scroll to almost the bottom of the email where it says to meet a representative at a certain statue. After 45 minutes of trying to download the voucher, thinking it was the procedure to get the tickets, we gave up. Pretty bummed to say the least!
Trying to find the meeting point by the specific statue was not as easy as hoped for. We had to wait for the contact to obtain tickets, which delayed our entry. The contacts were not easily identifiable in the mass of people, no specific clothing or flag or sign… the connection could have been better. Once made, they were very polite. The gallery is amazing!!!
We had tickets for 2:00 PM. At 12:30 PM they wrote to me on WhatsApp asking me to arrive at 1:30 PM because they changed the tickets due to an “error.” While I was waiting in line, they sent me the tickets. Then they made us go through security, asking the guards not to scan the tickets. Once inside (now on our own), we had to present them and were informed that they corresponded to earlier times, so we could not enter (12:45 and 11:30). After explaining what happened to the guard, and given that we were with small children, they let us in. They are a disgrace!! I do not recommend it!! I should report them for scamming people.
Representative showed up after appointed rendevous time and did not display any company uniform or identifying documentation. We had to search them out with concern we had done our money to an unreliable organization.
Going through Viator and their provider was terrible. Not worth the upcharge to reserve a ticket. The provider changed times with no immediate feedback. Paying 3 times the daily entry fee to get a timed entry into Uffizi is not worth if you're waiting to get responses from the provider.
You are not book g an experience with Viator it is through a third party provider. They cancelled our original 10 AM tour and offered two other time that didn’t work with our schedule. This was the second tour that was cancelled.
It is worth paying extra for a reservation to enter the museum.. you do not have to stand in the long line to get in
The Uffi is huge and so much to see!!! A tour guide is a must to te most out of your expierence. Then after your tour you can spend as much time as want wandering the museum! It’s impossible to see everything! I was there for 4 hours including out 90 min tour and still didn’t see everything! It’s a wonderful place especially if you have any interest in history of the arts and the renaissance period . Totally amazing. Our tour Guide Ms Tini was great!!!’ 5 stars!
Be prepared for long queues if you haven't booked in advance. A large number of steps to negotiate, however there is a lift. Great views from windows. Awesome venue we'll worth th visit 😀
Superbly organised - meeting point was easy to find. Gallery was full of memorable paintings and sculptures, and the cafe on the top floor was most welcome ! We did have a bit of trouble finding the exit but it was a memorable - if tiring - trip !
