Our Safari with Gimhana and Dinesh was an incredible experience. We could experience the animals from very close in their natural habitat in an ethical and respectful way. Predominantly Elephants, but we also saw a rabbit, peacocks, monkeys, crocodiles and many birds. Gimhana spent the afternoon with us in the back of the Jeep and we had great conversations about the animals and their way of living. He knows a lot about the park and his English is very good. Make sure to take the extra option for the guide! Dinesh is a great driver. I would come back anytime to this Safari and ask specifically for the two amazing guides :)

A great family experience, and highly professional. Girnhana is easy to communicate with, arranged hotel pick up and drop off, and all went smoothly. On the safari itself he’s knowledge and patient, giving you has much time as you like to watch and take photos, never hurrying along.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The kids had a fantastic time. Our guide, Udith, was excellent. He drove the safari vehicle slowly and stopped at all the important spots, allowing us to see the elephants up close. He patiently waited until we had taken all the photos and videos we wanted and never rushed us. Overall, this is an excellent tour company, and Udith exceeded our expectations.

Me and my partner had an incredible morning private safari experience at Udawalawe national park. We saw plenty of elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, jackals and loads of different species of birds. We selected the 5 hour option starting at 5:45am, which was the perfect amount of time to see everything. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all of our questions and knowing the best locations to visit to maximise our experience. He was also very clear and upfront about how much it would cost, with no hidden fees or unexpected charges. Pricing overall was very fair. All in all, we had an amazing experience and cannot recommend it enough.

An incredible experience with the hugely knowledgable and enthusiastic Gimhana. If you want a personal guided experience from a passionate expert, this is the safari for you. Our son loved it two years ago and it is clear that Gimhana still thrives from exploring the park, sharing his knowledge and showcasing the wildlife. Gimhana arranged return transport from our hotel (big thanks to Ishan for a calm and safe transit!). Gimhana then drove and guided us around the park in his safari truck. He was super respectful and considerate of the amazing wildlife. Great communication via WhatsApp - so easy. Thank you Gimhana for providing us with an unforgettable experience.

The organization was perfect: we were picked up from the hotel for a reasonable price and brought back again. In the park we were handed over to the guide. Tickets could be paid in cash or by card. We didn't have to queue at all. The guide was super friendly and patiently explained everything to us. We have seen numerous elephants, a lizard, a snake, buffalo, crocodiles and monkeys.

A fantastic morning in Udawalawe Safari park with our driver Dineth and our guide Gimhana. We saw some incredible wildlife including Elephants (some great viewings of tusk elephants too), Crocodiles, Birds, Deer and Peacocks. We would highly recommend adding a guide to the package as this enabled us to ask as many questions as we had, alongside learning about all these incredible animals. A highly professional tour which we absolutely loved.

Our guide Udith was fantastic from start to finish. He was very friendly, professional, passionate, and knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife. He took the time to explain many interesting things about the animals and nature around us. Thanks to Udith, we were able to see many animals in great conditions, and we never felt rushed. He really made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. A huge thank you to Udith for his kindness and professionalism. This safari will definitely be one of our favorite memories from Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 We highly recommend this experience, and especially Udith as a guide!

Overall, the safari was a great experience. We were able to see more areas of the park than we expected, which made the tour very interesting. Our driver was very kind and attentive, and he often noticed animals before we did and stopped the car so we could enjoy watching them. A government-employed guide unexpectedly joined our tour and gave us lots of interesting information about the animals and the park, which was an interesting experience. However, at the end of the tour, after we had already given a tip, he mentioned that the usual tip amount was higher and asked if we could give a little more. We weren’t familiar with the local tipping customs, so we were a little surprised and uncomfortable with the way it was handled. Overall, however, the tour was well organized and enjoyable, and our driver was especially helpful and friendly. We had a very good and memorable experience.
