It was a very interesting tour. I was expecting and hoping for more gruesome tales.
We joined the Dark Stories True Crime Tours Sydney and were guided by an Irish gentleman, possibly named Brian. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and presented the material with confidence. His grasp of the subject matter was evident, and his delivery added value to the experience. However, the tour itself wasn’t quite what we fully expected. We anticipated more stories and a broader range of content. While the guide did a good job with the material provided, the overall scope felt somewhat limited. All in all, it wasn’t the best tour we’ve attended, but it was okay. The highlight was definitely the guide’s knowledge and presentation skills, though the experience could be improved with more variety and depth in storytelling.
My wife and l did the tour with Ryan and it was fantastic. His knowledge and quick wit was so good, we were never bored. We both had the best time. Jason and bec (Dubbo)
Amazing tour throughout the back streets of heritage listed Sydney. Ryan our tour guide so was animated and knowledgeable. Great night was had.
This was our family’s second trip to Sydney and we wanted to know a bit more about the ins and outs of the city. We booked a day time tour of True Crimes that much appreciated the tour conducted by Ryan. His lame dad jokes aside (I must admit they are pretty decent), the tour gave us a better idea of how life was like at different stages of Australia’s recent history: the setting up of the penal colony, the appointment of the first hangman, the sexist sentiments and the dark human trafficking to get seamen aboard ships. Without giving more away, we highly recommend this 1.5hr walking tour! Thanks Ryan / (David)
Ryan had a great mix of information and entertainment. He was respectful about serious issues and flippant when possible.

this is the first activity i have booked in my trip to SYD and it never disappoint though travelling solo, Ryan who is our assigned guide has been very accommodating and very friendly. The tour gives a perspective about the urban legend on how the life back then in Australia and gives a glimpse on how it was greatly influenced by colonialism Did this during Vivid Sydney and it adds colour and majestic night tour

Great evening out for a very reasonable price! Very fun exploration covering the full 90 minutes off the beaten track of a beautifully historical area. Ryan was very friendly and a great storyteller who bought some dark history to life in places you might otherwise walk past.
